Why CARE Organization?
Why I chose CARE Organisation?
I chose the CARE Organisation because I wanted to find out if any organisation is helping girls out there who are destroying their lives because of poverty, early marriage, and lack of education and getting pregnant young. This is important because in Malawi and other developing and poor countries around the world young girls become pregnant because they have less knowledge. Others start working at an early age because of poverty and get paid less because they are illiterate. Secondly I chose to research about CARE because it’s a worldwide organisation. This is important because different countries around the world face the same problems which CARE is trying to help and solve and I wanted to research how CARE

This success has been evidenced as CARE has decreased maternal and deaths of newborns by developing the treatment, quality and justice of health services available to women and children. This proves that they have been successful because they have also made sure that safe pregnancy and safe birth is a woman right for all women as men use woman for their benefit but once they find out that they are pregnant, they abandon them after. They have also made sure that safeguarding health for mothers is one of their top priorities in the struggle against poverty. The amount of deaths of women dying during pregnancy and childbirth dropped 47 percent which proves that the world is helping and is improving to save women’s lives and give them their right to live and have a safe pregnancy and give a safe birth. This can be evidence by one of these stats: ’in some countries, up to 7 in 10 women are beaten, raped, abused or mutilated’ (CARE, 2013). This proves that they have had problems because women still get raped these days and it hasn’t completely stopped and this affects women very badly as in the long term it gives them a psychological trauma. Them being abused ruins their chance of having a future as this one incident turns their whole life around. (CARE, 2013)
My opinion of inequality today
I believe there isn’t equality between men and women today because women are still not treated as equal to men. For example when a girl is born, she will have to wait till she is 50 years old before she has a chance to have her equal rights or lead a country. Whereas men can start leading a country whenever they want and have no restrictions to have their rights.
Another reason why I believe that there isn’t equality between men and women today is because some families differentiate between their sons or daughters. When a girl is born in a family, their parents feel upset because they gave birth to a girl but when a boy has been born; their parents get happy as they think that a boy has more value than a girl. There are still some families these days that want a son more than a

Women have had to fight for their freedoms throughout history, and gender inequality is not a new concept to a woman. Until 1920 women in the United States did not have the right to vote. There are still modern societies that do not give women rights. Although the United States has more freedoms than some countries, women still have uneven power. There is no society where women and men are completely equal, even in the modern world.…

Today generation is very fast and like men, women are also coming in the front to compete with men and they are really doing well. If we give them the proper guidance like they can prove that women are in no way less then men, and we should be proud to say that human beings are developing, and not men or women only. Society would answer this question by saying, "No, men and women are not equal," but I have a different opinion on this matter. Men and women are different in different ways, but all humans have things that differ between them. When it comes down to it, we are all humans and not one gender is greater than the other. Women do all these things yet they don't get any praise for it whereas a man does one thing and the then the whole world revolves around him. This is basically saying that women get treated like dirt where as they do a lot of things that a man can't do. Women must be equal to men and they are equal to men.We should support girls education and make the world a better place to live as expected and if women are given equal rights to men definitely the development of the world also will be equal and hence we support this. I believe that women are not treated as equal as men eventhough they should.…

Not every culture sees women and men as equal. In America women can work alongside men as well as vote and hold political offices. In other countries women can barely show their faces. I think that in order to become a perfect society people can not view other people different based on the color, sex, or religion. Everyone is to be viewed the same and treated equally. Rights are very important factors in society. In American everyone has certain rights that can not be tampered with. This leads back to equality, everyone’s rights are equal. Also everyone is aware of the rights they have from being American and certainly put them to…

I think that even though we haven’t reached perfection in regards of rights between women and men being equal, we have come a very long way. What was before thought of as crazy and was openly ridicule, is now allowing millions of woman to have the right to vote. Women wanting the right to vote is what started the movement in the 1800’s, and the fact that we have achieved it today should mean a lot to how far we have come. Moreover, I think woman and men equality is going along very well but there is one more major change that needs to be made. I wish that it was illegal for woman and men to have different pay when they are in the same job position. I believe that allowing this to happen goes against all that women have fought for and that this…

I agree with Wollstonecraft because everyone should be treated equally in every possible way. It does matter if you are a man or a women everyone should be treated equally because it is the right thing to do. Women should be treated just the same as men or be equal to them because they are supposed to be equal and should always be like that. Now it’s more different because now Women have more freedom, now they could vote and now they have a voice. This should have happened a long time ago for equality.…

Society has conformed our minds to view gender based on one’s role in society. This labels the person as a man or a woman and then classifies them based on the “roles” that society has assigned for each. Gender inequality is caused by the unequal perceptions or even the way someone is treated, based on them being a man or woman. It tends to be the result of what is seen as socially constructed differences of the typical gender roles. This is a social problem I find compelling due to the impact it has on society.…

First and foremost we need to define what gender equality is. Gender equality can be regarded as the measurable equal representation of women and men. Gender equality does not infer that women and men are the same; amongst other reasons we are not the same and we will never be the same mainly because of our biological stand points. But gender equality does imply that both men and women ought to have equal value and should be accorded equal treatment; not only in the workplace but in the societal view as a whole.…

When you think of equality, the first thing that comes to mind is fact that all human beings should be treated equally, regardless of their, race, religion or gender. In today’s society, there are still issues regarding inequality between men and women. It seems that women are paid less for the same position as men in a corporate entity. Woman in many cases, are overlooked for a position when a man applies for the same job. Why is this? The truth is, there is no reason for it. Woman are equal and should be regarded as such. Women’s…

Our country was founded on the principle that “All men are created equal.” While this notion sounds wonderful in theory, it is fundamentally flawed. Nothing could be farther from the truth in reality of the United States of America. Every aspect of our society, whether it be race, education, sexual orientation or gender, there has always been at least one thing that separates and initiates a certain group to face discrimination. Throughout history women have always been discriminated by men; even in the statement which our Declaration of Independence was grounded upon separated men from women. Nowhere in that document will you find, “All men and women are created equal.” However discrimination of women goes back in time further then that; for centuries women have been denied advancements in social authority due to unfair gender roles. To clarify, gender roles are established behavioral norms that are considered fitting for a particular sex. Although these roles vary from different cultures, in America most men adhere to masculine gender roles while women obey feminine gender roles. This system of gender roles generally causes men to dominate women, although the feminist movement has begun to change the status quo for women. Despite the feminist efforts for gender equity, Linda Hirschman proclaims “Feminism has largely failed in its goals. There are few women in the corridors of power, and marriage is essentially unchanged” (402). Gender roles are a form of social segregation aimed towards women that forces them into household responsibilities, causes them to be seen as objects and allows advertising to objectify them which dehumanizes all women.…

If women really want to accept the challenges from being equal with men, then we need to stop being so demanding of men. Stop expecting men to pay for dinner, hold the door open for women, and present women with things that exceed the female gender’s expectations. For women to be treated differently, women will have to reciprocate the actions for men. I personally believe that this matter has been well taken care of. I am not saying that things cannot improve, but I think that matters are good at their current state. The major question that women need to ask themselves is, do we really want complete…

    Inequality In America

Just recently the ban on women fighting on the front lines was lifted, but our country still has some progress to make. According to www.whitehouse.gov, American women only make 78 cents for every dollar a man makes. It might seem like a measly 22 cents, but that number snowballs into a large amount fast. As a young woman, I feel just as capable as any boy, and I don't think I'm alone in that mindset. Gender equality would mean women being valued the same as male counterparts and children growing up viewing the other gender as…
