What is the best city-state in Ancient Greece? It is obvious, Athens is! Athens is the best city-state in Ancient Greece because it was a peaceful city-state. Athens had trade and there would be many sort of items from around Ancient Greece. Athens is also full of the wonderful arts. Athens is the best city-state in Ancient Greece because it was peaceful, it had trade, and lastly it was full of the arts. Athens is so clearly the best city-state because it was peaceful. In Athens one could relax. A citizen of Athens would not have to be worried with war and could relax. In Athens, since it is peaceful, one could enjoy life. A citizen of Athens could just enjoy the peace and enjoy life. Trading would help with getting items that are needed. If running low on a certain supply just trade. With trading there is an opportunity to meet others. It is always nice to meet others and hear stories from different places.. Some might say trading is not needed but with trade there is so many new things to see and receive because Athens had trade, trading would be very useful. Therefore clearly the ability to trade is another reason why Athens is the best. Another reason why Athens is the best city-state in Ancient Greece is because it had the arts. The arts are a way to entertain and have fun. The arts was a way for all citizens of Athens to take a break and have some fun. The arts are a way to relax and relieve stress. The arts usually help with relieving stress and making a person happier. Some might say the arts aren’t needed and helpful however that arts will make people happy because Athens had the arts which made many happy. So, therefore the arts are definitely one of the important reasons why Athens is the best city-state in Ancient
