Why Aliens Are Real
All around the world, there's one topic a lot of people talk about. Some people talk about economics, some talk about pop culture. The topic I'm going to be addressing is why I think Aliens are real. Throughout time, there has been many things that make us believe they are real, like the Roswell Incident. A quick recap of what happened was that what is thought to be a UFO crashed near a ranch in Roswell, New Mexico. The U.S. government then took the UFO and told everyone that what the crash was just debris from the crash of an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to what was then a classified (top secret) program named Mogul. This may seem unlikely and unrealistic, as if coming from a movie, but that is because this inspired many alien movies to prop up. This might be one of or maybe the most famous alien incidents ever reported, but there is a more believable one and that is “The Wow Signal”. In 1977, The Big Ear radio telescope in Ohio State University picked up an unusual signal. The Big Ear used number and letters to identify the strength of a signal, 0 being nothing, Z being a strong radio signal. One time, a signal came in reading ‘6EQUJ5’ from what seemed to be an empty spot in space. Dr. Jerry R. Ehman recognized this and was completely shocked, so he circled the signal in the data sheet and wrote next to it “Wow!”, giving the signal it’s name. The closest star to where the signal came from was 220 million light years away, meaning the signal came from out of no where. It is believed that this signal was transmitted by aliens, but we still have no actual proof it is. Now, the bible does say we are the only planet with living beings, but think about this, how big is space? We have no clue of how big it is because it is that big. Being that big, wouldn't there be a possibility that there is a world that has living beings in it? What if the society on that planet is more advanced in technology than ours and the reason they were able to

A National Geographic survey states that 77% of the population believe that aliens exist and could have visited the Earth. Over “80 million Americans, or 36% of the population, believe UFOs are real” (Live Science Staff). 68 years ago the nation was captivated by supposed reports that a UFO crashed on a ranch in Roswell, New Mexico. This subject has always been debated between the military and the public for years. In 1997 “the military released a 231 page report [hoping that all the rumors would stop]” (Peyser 1). Yet, the public still doubt the truth of the military report about the Roswell incident because there were several different stories that happened. I believe that a UFO could have landed, but that will never know the truth given…

What does it mean to be human? Simply it means to make decisions not always based on logic or reason, or the decision is made based on emotion. This is an interesting question that is brought up in Ridley Scott’s movie Alien (1979). The crew of the Nostromo for the most part appears to be human, but through their actions it makes one wonder if they are actually humans or if they are simply robots. They have gone to such a point that human life has seemingly been devalued in order to complete the task at hand. Such concepts are also explored within T.J Matheson’s (1992) “Triumphant Technology and Minimal Man: The Technological Society, Science Fiction Films and Ridley Scott’s Alien” where he talks about the similar idea of a devalued human life by these for the most part robots. At this point one would have to wonder if there is any shred of humanity left in this crew.…

    Bigfoot Research Paper

That argument is very logical hinting the repetitive phrase, “I’ll believe when I see it.” However, there are a lot of things that are not visible that we believe in. For example, in America 9 out of 10 Americans believe in God. God is not visible to us, so why don’t 9 out of 10 Americans believe in Bigfoot? Now in no way am I comparing the greatness of God to some creature in the woods, but when it comes to our belief in the things we cannot see, I feel as if we can treat certain things like we treat our belief in God. Also, in many science courses we learn about different things like carbon monoxide and air that we breathe that we can not see but we believe that those things contribute to our lives, so why not believe in something that we have not seen? Another argument that would challenge the theory of the existence of Bigfoot is that there is not any clear physical or visual evidence that proves Bigfoot is real. Well, a Bigfoot believer would quickly say, what on Earth can make an abnormally large footprint the size of 15 inches in the woods? That question more than likely cannot be answered without some deep thought and research and the question still may not be able to be answered. Also, throughout research and studies, a definite classification cannot be determined. If we can not conclude on the classification of Bigfoot, then of course proof will be…

Have you ever wondered why other people are so unreasonable and hard to convince? Why is it that they disregard hard facts that prove you’re right and they’re worng? The fact is, we humans aren’t wired to think very rationally. That’s been confirmed recently by brain scans, but out irrational reaction to hard evidence has been the subject of scholarly study for some time. Consider one of the most famous scientific observations in all of psychology, the story of a UFO cult that was infiltrated by the social psychologist Leon Festinger and his colleagues half a century ago.…

Why we believe what we see? Actually, the real reason why our eyes deceive us is that our eyes function in our brains. The eye is quite a complex part of the body. There are more than a billion parts work together in the same time. The vision is an important sense which is supported by the brain that receives the information from the eye. Firstly, as light enters the eye, “it passes through a thin transparent protective shield on the front of the eye”, which is called the cornea. The clear cornea helps the eye to focus the incoming light by bending them. Then the rays enter the pupil. “Pupil is the black hole in the center of the eye”, which regulates the amount of light incoming. Moreover, as light conditions change, the iris, as the colored part of the eye, may also control more or less light into the eye by expanding to make the pupil bigger or shrinking to make the pupil smaller. Thirdly, after light travels through the pupil, it will pass through the lens, which is controlled by a band of muscle named the ciliary muscle. Actually, just like the lens of a camera, the human lens is responsible to focus light. It can change its shape to make the nearby or far distant objects reflect on the retina clearly. Fourthly, light is going to enter the retina after passing through the centre of the eye vitreous. “The retina is a thin, light sensitive membrane that lines the inner of the eye”. Much like film in a camera, it is responsible for converting the vision to the optic nerve. What’s more, the centre of the retina is called the macula. Because it contains a high concentration of photoreceptor, it can tell the brain what we are seeing. As the last step, “optic nerve sends all visual information from the eye to the brain”, which is what we see at last. Because of these, sometimes we are treated by ourselves.…

    Are Aliens Real?

The general argument made by D.M. Murdock in her work, “Are UFO’s and Aliens Real?” is that there are a number of different types now complied under the heading of legendary “sky people,” humans, gods, and possibly aliens. More specifically, she argues that they are not always called aliens, but planetary bodies, such as the sun, moon, earth, planets, stars, etc. Murdock writes, “the Greek Sun God, Apollo, is most assuredly just that: A sun god, not an alien flying through the sky in his chariot spaceship.” In this article, Murdock is suggesting that legends say that when chaos descended, these man made “spacecraft” transported a number of inhabitants to elsewhere, which is speculated to be the moon, Mars, Venus, or another destination, including inside the earth, or under the sea. In conclusion, Murdock’s belief is that “obviously, none of these creatures is an alien however.” Murdock is right in my opinion because I have never once seen an alien or any sort of UFO. More specifically I believe that aliens are not real, but the sightings and reporting’s a form of hominid species. For example, with the discovery of homo floresiensis or “the hobbit,” which thrived 12,000 years ago, way before we discovered aliens.” Although Murdock might counter that UFO sightings have been dismisses as the planet Venus, many sightings are explainable by a man made phenomena, but some are not. I maintain that millions of people in the past few decades have reported seeing something that is clearly unidentifiable. Abduction by aliens has been mistaken as an hallucination. I don’t believe aliens are real, but the fact remains that some of them cannot be so easily dismissed.…
