Right now, 160,000 kids are either being bullied at school or are at home because they can’t face going to school! This is a frightening statistic. No child should be scared to go to school. The sad thing is that every 1 in 7 students in each grade are either a bully or has been a victim of bullying. No one has the right to think they anyone is lesser than them. No one has the right to put anyone down. The only way we can deal with bullies is to stand up to them, show them that the way they are treating others is unacceptable, and needs to be changed. Bullies expect that people treat them with respect, but they do not show that to anyone! Bullying is taking over schools, and it needs to be controlled.…

“1 in 5 people are or have been a bully or bullied’ according to “Meet the New Sheriff.” That way too many. In my opinion, when there is a bully, victim, and a bystander the bully can do the worst damage! Either if it is done physically, verbally, or even exclusion it is very harmful to the victim. Some bullies can come from a happy home. They can come from structure, a great social life, and ideal parents. Those are the people that society as a whole just does not understand. Some bullies develop their mean ways because they are selfish and or spoilt and they always want to get their own way. Other similar reasons can involve the bully feeling bad for themselves, so they seek others around them to make their self esteem feel low also. People have to remember that these individuals who turn into bullies are dealing with some sort of mental problem to be taking the negative actions their taking in the first place. When adults see the early signs in these children such as anger, insecurity, and jealousness their warning flag should…

I am sure that we can all, regretfully, think of an incident where you or someone you know have been bullied. Whether it was being called a derogatory name, being singled out because of your race, or even somebody saying something inappropriate about you on facebook. All of these examples are far too familiar in today’s society. Bullying is a fact of modern society, however, knowing the psychological and even physical effects that bullying can cause, preventative measures should be taken by parents, teachers and school administrators to abolish bullying for good.…
