One reason why capulet parents were guilty for the death of Romeo and Juliet is that the capulets parents did not care for the happiness of their daughter. For example, Capulet tells Juliet “disobedient wretch, I tell thee what, get thee to church a’ Thursday” (3.5.161-163). This shows that Capulet forced his daughter into marriage with a man which does not love. Juliet loved her husband Romeo, but Capulet did not allow his daughter to be with anyone besides Paris. This led to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because Capulet tries to force Juliet into marrying a stranger.…

Many have said that romance brings love and affection, but when taken to the extreme, it can lead to tragedy and despair. In the literary play Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare created a tragedy protagonist, Juliet, whose tragic death “buries their parents’ strife” (Prologue). The eternal feud between Montague and Capulets restraints the love between Romeo and Juliet and ultimately lead to their death. Juliet’s death has many different factors, and it’s hard to determine the truly blame of Juliet’s death. In all the important characters, Lord Capulet refuses to listen to Juliet’s request, which result in Juliet’s death. In the other hand, Romeo’s immature, impulsive and Friar Lawrence’s cowardice are all generate Juliet’s tragedy.…

Firstly, some people believe that the parents of Romeo and Juliet were to blame for their deaths because of the ongoing feud between the two families. The argument between the Montague’s and Capulets is mentioned in the prologue, ‘Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona where we lay our scene, from ancient grudge break, to new mutiny, where civil hands make civil hands unclean, from forth the fatal loins of these two foes ... doth with their death bury their parents strife, the fearful passage of their parents rage’. The point is made, that if the two families did not have such hatred for each other, it would not have resulted in the deaths of the two ‘star crossed lovers’, Romeo and Juliet. It is almost certain that if the parents had gotten on right from the start, they would not have had a problem with the love that Romeo and Juliet shared and they would have let them get married to each other with probably no hesitation. ‘Disobedient wretch… get the to church a’ Thursday, or never after look me in the face.’ (3.5) this quote shows the pressure Juliets father put on her to marry Paris. If Lord and Lady Capulet had given Juliet their full support when growing up they may have understood her feelings for Romeo, therefore Juliet would not have had to go out of her way to try and stop the marriage her parents had arranged to one of the most important men in Verona, Paris.…

I believe the people in Romeo and Juliet’s lives helped cause their death. One person who helps cause their death was Tybalt. I think he helped cause their death because if he would have stopped trying to fight Romeo, then Romeo wouldn’t have killed him. If Romeo wouldn’t of killed him, then Juliet’s parents wouldn’t of rushed her into marrying Paris, then she wouldn’t of came to Romeo’s father talking about killing herself. Friar Laurence also helped with their deaths because he is the one who gave Juliet the sleeping potion, which made Romeo think he was dead. These are the people I think helped cause Romeo and Juliet’s…

Romeo and Juliet Who’s to Blame for their Death? I believe the blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death belongs to both, those who supported them as well as those that did not. Blame lie especially with Lord Capulet, Friar Lawrence, and the Nurse. Juliet’s father played an important role in the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. As the father of Juliet, Capulet is meant to protect his daughter Juliet. Instead, he disregards Juliet feelings puts her down. Lord Capulet acted harsh when Juliet expressed her opinion over Paris. Both of Juliet’s parents deserted her in a challenging situation. Friar Lawrence tried to bring an end to the grudge between the two families by helping Romeo and Juliet get married. His advice to Juliet to deceive her parents and the solution he provided her against the wedding with Paris leads situations that are out of control. Friar also arriving late to the graveyard leads to both Romeo and Juliet’s death. The Nurse has been the main caregiver for Juliet. This relationship allows Juliet to expresses things that girls usually keep secret. She helps Juliet to be with Romeo then suddenly changes her mind. Therefore the Nurse turning her back on Juliet was very devastating pushing her towards death.…
