Who Lives Who Tells Your Story Analysis
In the final song “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story,” it matters who tells the story because that is the person who controls how one see’s or perceives history. After one dies all that is left is the story that someone tells about them. The story being told about them, could be manipulated and leave either a good or bad reputation. A persons story is told after they die and all that is left are their events and changes they have made. The song ends with the lyrics “Who tells your story?” which makes the listener question the good deeds that are to be done in order to have a great story left after they die. In the Hamilton Musical, Hamilton is the person who dies and Eliza is the one who lives and tells his story. In the end Hamilton’s

Who am I? That has always been an essential question for as long as I can remember. I never really understood why we had to answer that question along the way, but I’m now a senior at SJPII and I still have no idea who I am. It really bothers me that for 16 years I still haven’t figured out who I am. Constantly going from class to class and making new friends I still can’t pin point who the “real” me is.…

As the title suggests, the story will have to do with a death in the plot, which was Addie’s, the mother and wife of the family the novel revolves around. The title foreshadows what the story will be about. With the first person point of view in the title, it also suggests that the story might be told from the point of view of the person who is dying. While that person is dying, the person reflects what is happening around before he/she goes. However, the meaning of the title does indeed change once having read the story. While the title does stick to its plot of dealing with a death, the story is not told by Addie’s perspective. She does have a small part where it is from her point of view, but the novel is mostly told from the different perspectives of her family as they deal with her death and planning her burial. Looking back to the title, the meaning changed to not being about how Addie’s perspective before her death, but rather what she sees her family do before she dies and after she dies. She looks at how separated her family seemed separated when she was alive and even when she was dying. However, once she died, her family is able to change their ways and become closer as they deal with her death and funeral. As she dies, her family is able to reach out for each other and do something they didn’t do when she was…

Stories are all around us and we can trace stories and the act of storytelling back to our early ancestors. "All the individuals of the same species, and the species of the same genus, or even higher, are descended from common parents;" stated by Charles Darwin in Origin of Species, his take on stories was take even though the story may change as humans evolve, they all start with an origin. Looking through the lens of literary Darwinism stories can be a metaphor towards the theory of evolution.…

Sophomore year, I was named the frosh/soph team captain. Raised eyebrows and glares ensued from the gathered lineup, eyeing the lanky four-eyed nerd. Initially, I was highly discouraged by my teammates; they would seldom obey my callouts and instruction during practice, and if they did, they would do so only grudgingly. However, what unsettled me even more was that the majority of the team viewed the sport as a competition, vying to display superior skill and individual merit rather than teamwork. This proved to be a disaster, as our season began with a brief losing streak where our opponents dominated us through seamless teamwork.…
