Who Is The Antagonist In Lord Of The Flies
Everyone is different, however, we also share similar qualities. In Lord of the Flies, a group of British schoolboys experienced a plane crash that landed on a deserted island when they fled from a war zone. This plane ended up killing numerous passengers and the pilot. As a result, the kids were left on the deserted island without any parental supervision. In order to have a society there had to be a leader, so Ralph immediately took charge. The group of kids took a vote and Ralph won making him chief of the island. Throughout the novel of Lord of the Flies, both Ralph who is the protagonist and Jack the antagonist exemplify their similarities and differences in their constant battle for power.     There are always people who come out with better qualities to be a leader than others. The strongest people however, usually become the greater influences in which the others decide to follow. However, sometimes the strongest person is not the best choice. In William Golding's novel, “Lord of the Flies” Ralph though not the stronger person, shows better leadership qualities than Jack. Ralph displays these useful qualities as a leader by working towards building a manageable life on the island between them.
