Who Is Elaine Parker A Hero
A hero does not always have to be someone who fights bears or cures disease. In fact, you are probably someone's hero too. Elaine Parker is a regular person like you and me, but that does not keep her from the little things that make everything else a bit better. Inspiring me everywhere I go, spreading open mindedness and showing kindness everyone and anyone. My grandmother, Elaine Parker, inspires me in a way that few others can. She is inspiring to me is when speaks about dance, I myself am a dancer going on 11 years and she has studied everything from ballet to jazz to tap dance within a span of 20 years. Having someone in your family to push you and move you forward is one thing, but when they have experienced the same things as you

Although the journey was difficult she overcame the obstacles she faced with the support of her family and friends and her loving husband and supporters she got through it and in doing so not only helped herself but those in the same boat as her. To conclude I want to leave you with a question put out by Amy Purdy “If my life were a book, and I were the author, how would I want this story to…

They are my heros because they done things that they believe in and that they thought were fair because they wanted to make sure everyone had rights to do whatever they want whenever they wanted to do it. I believe that everyone has a voice in the world and if u believe in something u should do it no matter what the risks are.…

So who has inspired me? Well, as a young person there were not many people who inspired me. I didn't particularly have an easy childhood. Although I didn’t grow up in poverty, I also didn’t grow up in the lap of luxury. My mom worked hard, she worked two jobs just to provide the necessities, for my brother and me. I was only 9 years old when my parents divorced after a very traumatic marriage. My dad left and I did not see him again until I was in my late teens. Still, I managed to develop a fairly positive life is a "glass half full" attitude, due to my mom, but mostly due to my dad’s twin brother, my Uncle Jim, who really was more of a father to me, more than my own biological father. He had the most positive outlook on life, more than any person I have ever known, and I think that is because of the obstacles he himself had to overcome, in his own very hard life. You see, my Uncle Jim was a quadriplegic. When he was 18, after coming home on leave from the army, he was involved in a car crash. The medical doctors did not expect him to live through the night, or even through the next few days, and then they told him that he would only be able to survive at the most, a few months. But my grandparents were not about to let that happen! You see, they were his inspiration. Not only did my uncle live for the next few months, but he lived to be 47! – That is 29 additional years of life that he experienced because of the motivation and…

Interestingly, the person who had the most impact on my life was my grandmother. My grandmother was a retired College Principal, but for me she was always my Grandmother. She taught me the kinds of things that school teachers never could teach in the classroom. Because my parents were at work and my grandmother was retired, I spent a lot of time with her. She was a mother, a grandparent and a teacher at the same time. She always prepared an interesting activity for the day. We visited museums, theatres, went to the zoo, visited the library, watched movies or just stayed at home and did something fun together. She always created the proper schedule with the weather and my age in mind. I loved the way she could find the tone and the language with me, keeping in mind my capacity. She had a good sense of humor and always tried to cheer me up when she saw lack of interest or tiredness. The biggest lesson I learned from her was how to be a happy and independent child. She let my free spirit wander, making me curious and adventurous. She never lectured me or gave me boring speeches; she always found ways to engage my interest through stories and examples from her life.It were very important for her. She wanted my imagination to grow and explore different ideas and topics in my head. When I could not read by myself, she was the one who introduced me to picture books, and when I went to first grade she sat down with me and held my hand during my discovery of reading independently. My Grandmother was the first person who put a pencil in my hand. First we drew and colored together, and then slowly I learned how to form my letters and to write my name down before I started my school education. As I mentioned before, my parents had to work, so my Grandmother picked me up from school everyday. When we arrived home we always had snack and then a little free time before we sat down to do my homework. If I had a difficult assignment, for example from chemistry or physics, we tried…
