Which Responses Would A Person Who Acted In The Minority Give?
Which responses would a person who acted in the majority give? Which responses would someone in the minority give?
Using the responses above, a person who wants to be ambitious and make the most of opportunities they are given and move from procrastination to action would:
• Attend the training course about an area of work they identified as part of their appraisal, even though the notice was short. Once they returned to work, they would apply what they have learnt so they able to produce work of a better quality.
• Regularly review the notes they made during the training which are found in their manual, and they would apply the learning to their work or when they trained other staff in new working regulations.
• Apply for a new job after

If you have a good relationship with your staff, then they will go the extra mile for you, if they felt valued. Remember scenario five: the late phone call from chapter four. If Dave’s boss valued him then Dave would stay and finish the report. If Dave did not have a good relationship with his boss, he would leave work at 5 p.m. Do not all staff want to be valued? Is this not what we also want from all of our good relationships? We want to be able to lean on them, and to be able to talk honestly and confidentially with …show more content…
It means, when new opportunities come our way, that whilst in the past we would have run from them, we are now able to embrace them with open arms. You too will find as you step out from the crowd in one area of your life, and be in the minority instead of the majority you are now able to accomplish your goals much easier, in different areas of your life. The more you are the real you, the easier it will be next time to be truly authentic. You are developing new habits. Habits which will put you in the 20% and not in the 80% of individuals.

What are the characteristics of people who like to be in the minority?
One of the first things that you will notice about them is that they are confident. Even when things are not going as planned they will be resilient and will always look for a solution. They have a ‘can do’ attitude. They have an inner strength and a positive mindset. They also are realistic. They do not live with their heads in the sky. They pay attention to detail and have good time management. You will find these characteristics in the majority group too, but I have found that the level of commitment to their use would be higher in the minority

Training evaluations should be completed after each training session is completed. The trainer or supervisor needs to ensure that the trainee has understood the training and is proficient at executing what is expected. This performance of the employee regarding the training should be monitored and reviewed with the employee so that all parties understand how well the employee is performing. Performance reviews should also take place on an annual basis. The performance review should include all disciplinary action taken as well as training and development completed. These performance reviews should ultimately reflect the true value and overall knowledge level of the employee. Human resources keep record of all these performance reviews for the entire length of employment in a master file and will be used for promotions if necessary. If an employee must be terminated for performance failure, these performance reviews will allow human resources to justify the termination. Performance reviews are used for multiple…

The essay read was "Farm Girl" by Jessica Hemauer. What I think Jessica was trying to tell her readers was tasks or situations you may be in that you may consider awful or just plan not fair can turn out to benefit you later in life. Struggling through these tough situations might just be worth it later on in life. I don't believe that was Jessica's only main point. Jessica also explained to us that even though you're not similar to the people around you doesn't mean it's bad or your way of life is wrong and trying to change yourself to fit in may not be the answer, because just like Jessica stated " I believed that joining various clubs and social activities would make me fit in with my peers. But in fact, it has not. I still stick out."(Hemauer,2011,p.84) so in the end after managing her time to follow in her friends foot steps to fit in she never accomplished that goal, instead she turned out as a leader so peers and friends started to follow her.…

This quote explores the notion of jumping into the unknown, believing in being worthy and having enough, and having the courage and bravery to step out of line and be different and unique. Jumping into the unknown and stepping out of comfort zones are one of the fears that all are afraid of. The possibility of the future and the consequences that may follow brings the imagined uneasiness, pain and suffering. The pain of loss and change, going into a place of complete darkness where no light can shine to give relief, makes all feel vulnerable, small, and fragile and the thought where everybody is better is very daunting. Being different where everyone else is the same is like being the white in the black or the black in the white. Feeling ashamed…

Training may be as easy as shadowing another employee to very involved when the employee is asked to attend a seminar to further the employees knowledge. Seminars can be training outside the organization or development training within the organization. Learning new skills that the employee can bring back to the workplace and implement with other employees is a valuable asset to give to employees. When employees receive training within the organization, they can self-manage because they understand the ideas the organization wants to grow and implement. “Ask the employee to train other employees with the information learned at a seminar or training session. Offer the time at a department meeting or lunch to discuss the information or present the information learned to others” (Heathfield, 2013, p. 1). Make the staff training part of the package so the employee understands the expectations before they embark on the new training. Empowering the trained employee to give other employees direction also enables the decision-making process within the…
