When Olive Does Not Like Dr Sue At All Essay
Christopher is a middle age man, and a local podiatrist. According to olive her son is different kind of a person. He is sensitive, complicated and interesting man. The person who keeps things to himself. And not independent. Whereas Suzanne she has a dominant personality kind of mean and controlling. But she is smart and independent woman.
Question 2 Olive does not like Dr. Sue at all. She felt she was a known it all. According to olive nobody’s knows everything. She thinks. "Christopher doesn't need to be living with a woman who thinks she knows everything." She is also doesn’t like the wedding of her son with Suzanne who just met 6 months ago. She wants Chris to marry but at the same time she didn’t like his quick decisions.
Question 3 When Olive's son, Christopher, marries an overbearing big-city doctor who criticizes the dress Olive wears to the wedding, she felt deep embarrassment. Olive steals a shoe and a bra from the bride's wardrobe. And also mark her sweater. The other reason I felt while reading is that when Suzanne talk about the Chris childhood how that was taught for him. Her talk was hurting for olive and she thought what she knows about Chris childhood, and what Chris had told her. So both feelings embarrassment and anger led …show more content…
This story was the journey of knowing Olive to acknowledging her. It was the first story from Olive point of view. In the beginning of the book Olive seems little bit cranky but after reading this story my understanding towards her have changed a little bit. This story shows soft side of Olive’s for her son. Her private view towards life. It also shows how much his son means to her. Her childish act of jealousy. Her regrets about her life actually gave me a sense of understanding of Olive as a mother, and her relationship with her son.it was the perfect summery of ones goes through
