When Lying Is Sometimes Good Research
What if lying could save someone from getting hurt? If it came to that sometimes lying is good but then again sometimes it's bad. Lying is something we all do all the time, when it comes to school or being with a friend or even trying to make ourselves look or sound cool. Lying is something we do to get out of trouble or just to say dumb things sometimes we don't want to lie because it's bad, but in times it's ok to tell a white lie right? So, when is lying ok? Always, sometimes, or never

In my opinion lying is sometimes good. You ask why, I believe that there are some times ok to tell a lie, but some people lie too much that in the future no-one believes them. It’s good to lie when you're in a situation of your little brother or sister are trying to play video games so you tell them that your system broke or the computer. It's easier to tell a lie than the truth. How? It's harder to say,” No you can’t use it”,

By saying the truth you could mess things up with your relationships with friends or with family. My argument is that saying the truth all the time could be bad at some points. Even if it's a white lie they feel different at the end but they're not hurting people if they're telling a small lie and if you told the truth someone would get hurt.

As you can see lying is sometimes ok to tell. Lying could be used for good and sometimes for bad purposes. But there is always at a point that it's ok to tell a little lie or a white lie. From all the examples i have given you, you could see that saying a lie could save someone from getting hurt. If you told the truth all the time you could hurt people and it's better the other way around. That is why I say it's good to tell a small lie from time to

The dictionary defines a lie as, “a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.” However, while the intent of a lie is to deceive, that deceit is not always intended to cause detriment to others. Lies can be told for justifiable reasons such as to protect the feelings of others, but more often lies are told for the wrong reasons. For example, lies are mostly told to avoid the consequences of one’s actions such as with criminal activities and academic misconduct. When comparing acceptable and unacceptable reasons to lie, the unacceptable reasons greatly outnumber the acceptable.…

First off let me start of by saying that we lie. We all do. We exaggerate, we leave out things, we avoid confrontation, we try to be inconsideration of other people feelings, we conveniently forget some aspects of the truth and even keep secrets. Like most people, I find myself in situations of small falsehoods and still think of my self of an honest person. Sure I lie, but it’s not really bothering anyone or anything.…

Being raised in the Capitalist system based on competition, we were taught that it was fine to tell lie. Some argued that it was fine to lie when it is a death and live matter, others may argue that it is o.k to lie if it doesn't hurt any one. On my personal level, I don't feel it is morally comfortable to lie to anyone. Because of the society we live in is filled with lies and mistrust doesn't mean we, as the newest generation should learn to lie. Instead, I want to live in a lie free life.…

An example of lies being used for good was D-day. The opposing forces of the Nazi Party fed false information to them, so they would remove soldiers from one spot and move them somewhere else. This lead to an easy invasion by the Allies because there was little to no military units. This was a crushing blow the Nazi Party which lead to their downfall. This lie caused lots of Allied lives to be saved and the liberation of Germany from the Nazi Party. Lies can easily make people happy even if they think you’re lying to them. An example of this would be when people are having a “fat day” where they feel unattractive and you boost their self-esteem and confidence by telling them that they look absolutely beautiful. They may know you’re lying to them but either way it makes them feel much better about themselves. It let’s them have the strength to take on the day with a smile instead of a frown. It may not be the most convincing and long lasting lie but for a moment they’ll be…
