When Ansel Did Not Grow Up Living In A Happy Family

Ansel did not grow up living in a happy family. His parents were always calling him invidious names, saying he was stupid and annoying. George and Amy, Ansel's parents, were both high school dropouts and had Ansel at a young age, they got married a year after only because they wanted Ansel to be raised with two parents. They say that Ansel is to blame when it comes to why they never graduated and why they don't have a happy marriage. Ansel prefers to eschew his parents and hide away in his room when they start yelling at each other, which is often. When Amy and George start yelling it seems to never end, both of them are intransigent and they think they have tenable sides to their story and think they can substantiate why they are right. Sometimes they won't speak to each other for days because of a silly argument. Ansel does everything he can to just stay away from his parents, it’s not that they are abusive to him, they just don't give him the respect a child should have growing up.
