What I know for sure
There are many things you need in this world; food, clothing, shelter, all these things are essential. However, there is one thing that is certain to me and that is you will always need your parents. From the day you are born until the day of their passing, you will always need their guidance, wisdom, and love. As an infant I was very limited to what I could do; eat on my own, speak, walk, I needed help doing all these things until I could get the hang of it. The two main people that helped me in learning all those basic skills were my parents. Without them, it would have been very challenging. Even when I would start crying in the middle of the night, my parents would rock me in their arms until I felt better. Even during elementary school, my parents would be there for me the whole way, regardless if they were busy or not. During the period of early elementary school years, I found math to be quite challenging and I could not seem to understand it. My mother would patiently spend countless hours helping me understand the lesson and finish the homework I received. She would also make me do extra homework so the lesson would be more clear to me. Now, math is much more clear to me and it is one of my strongest and most desired classes. On the first day of high school, I was extremely nervous along with all the other students, and I did not quite know what to expect. My dad would spend endless amounts of time teaching me about his experiences in high school and what to expect. Surprisingly, it was not very different from high school here in Canada. He would tell me about the kinds of people I will meet, the crowds I should stay away from, and the crowds I should move towards. My dad continues to stress how important school is and how I should learn from his mistakes so I will know better in the future. What I know for sure is that you will always need your parents. Until the day of their passing, you will always need their

When my brothers and I were in school my mother was very involved. Every day until my brothers and I graduated high school my mother and father would both ask what homework we had and would help us when we needed it. They would then always look over our work to make sure we understood everything. My parents liked the schools we attended for the most part, but they did wish that there was more one on one time between the students and teachers. Since my mother was a teacher at the elementary school we attended, she was constantly communicating with our teachers. My dad would also…
