I think that Germans had the feeling that they needed a leader after being leaderless for some years now. In 1921 he re-named from the anti-Semitic, nationalist Christian-Socialist party to the “National Socialist Workers party (Nazi) after he became their leader. He never gave up on his political ideas so while in jail he wrote a book called “Mein Kampf” and it basically talked about his plan to rule great Germany. Right after his sentence time was up he reorganized his party. Then Germany was under world depression and the Nazis attracted some new friends. There was a lot of information that the rest of the world didn’t have a hold of yet about what was going on in Germany. With his new found power Hitler quickly passed a law that boycotted all Jewish owned businesses and shops. It was called the Reestablishment of the Professional Civil Service. Then the Nuremberg Race Laws were passed which basically started the persecution of Jews by taking away their political, civil and legal rights (later on this law was passed for Gypsies and Afro-Germans.)
