What Role Does Wisty Play In The Fire

The Fire is the third installment of James Patterson’s Witch and Wizard series. The series follows two siblings who are accused of being a witch and wizard. Whit, the wizard, and Wisty, the witch, are living in a world ruled by a totalitarian named The One. The one is the Supreme Being in the universe and anyone who dares speak against him will be punished severely. The young brother and sister are also part of a prophecy that depicts two children leading a revolution against The One. Finally understanding their role in this crazy future where all forms of free speech and uniqueness are banned, the two stand up to face and destroy The One. Wisty, the fiery, young, redheaded witch, is a key player in The One’s schemes. She possess “The Gift”, a power that the one desperately desires. Wisty is fighting the blood plague in the beginning of this novel. She very well may have died if it had not been for her bother Whit. Wisty is a total rebel who has awesome power within her. The one has tried his hardest to take her alive sooner than dead because of her power. Wisty also has a fun little parlor trick as well. She has the ability to spontaneously combust,
Whit’s powers grant him the gift of clairvoyance. Whatever poem he writes or whichever one pops into his notebook, always manages to help him and his sister. Whether it be turning them into lions, turning their enemies against each other, or making them into goldfish so they can escape a prison through the toilet. Whit’s powers also go beyond that, as he whips up an entire holiday meal for a family who took them in and helped them out. Whit is also dealing with a constant internal struggle after realizing that the one killed his beloved girlfriend Celia. She visits him in his dreams and he sometimes visits her in the shadowland where the dead roam. Whit is strong, brave, and he always looks after his
