What Kind Of Teenager Throws A Party At 7 P. M.?
It was the summer of 2017, I had just turned eighteen. In all of my eighteen years I had never snuck out of my house. Formerly, I would've asked my parents for permission but one night I decided against that. I always behaved in accordance even if my parents aren't strict at all. Being the type to usually be obedient, it feels odd to do something rebellious. Sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone and enjoy yourself.
One summer evening, I didn't have much going on. Usually its difficult for something to entertain me so I spent my time watching t.v. shows. Until my friend claudia and Carla texted me inviting me to a party. Obviously, the party would be during the night time. What kind of teenager throws a party at seven p.m.?

My neighborhood stood completely noiseless as it was two in the morning. So still I heard my heart beating through my ears, booming as if the neighbors heard.
Trying to open the door it was locked. Attempting to unlock it with a credit card and anything thin enough to open it but nothing worked. Aggravated at the door instead of myself, I paced back and forth deciding my next move. Looking up at the sky praying for the door to magically to open, I noticed one of the three windows from the back of my house was cracked open. These windows are so high up I had no idea how to get up there. Rushing as time was suddenly against me, I stacked a heavy cement bucket on top of a metal chair.
As I climbed up on the bucket dizziness overwhelmed my head. The chair and the bucket were not tall enough but I feared if I stacked up more I would fall and possibly die. Taking off my shoes I climbed and put my feet on the satellite cables that were wrapped around my house. Feeling restless I didn't stop, I put all the force I didn't have and slid the window up. Gasping for air, I jumped and supported my elbows on the window sill, the painfully sliding inside. I let out a sigh of relief and sat down on the floor reflecting back on the stunt I had just pulled, being way out of my expertise. Closed the window and went back outside to put all the mess back as it served as evidence that I snuck out. After that trouble

Snow started to shower as if on a peaceful rainy night and I look for any opening, trying to escape this creature that was following me. I could make out a large building figure ahead and ran directly to it, exhorting my energy as I advanced through the shivers in my body and aching bloodstained legs. An old tainted church-like mansion appeared as the fog cleared and I forced my way up the frigid sleet hill and onto a rusty pavement beside the building. I leaned upon the 5-metre tall wooden door trying to hear any sound coming from inside the outsized building, trying to sense any civilisation as the sky slowly turned into a rich black shade. I knocked onto the polished door, trying to depict a reaction from the owner that might've lived in this secluded place. Lights started to rapidly appear above the door and forming a luminous loop around the entire mansion, whilst the door blew open with such force that I was knocked back onto my spine. I tried to scamper away on my knees as a spine-chilling sensation started to form from what was a supernatural…

The room was eerily quiet, aside from the sound of a latex glove and a creaky bed. The loudest and most unnerving of them all was her heartbeat, which was slow, dangerously slow. Most of the noise around her was drowned out by the beating of her heart, drifting her away from her surroundings.…

I went back to the secret house after I was done talking with my dad on the phone and started digging up the whole to get out of this dump. It took a while because I was younger and less stronger than them so I couldn’t dig as long as them so I had to have continuous breaks. After about the third break in 30 minutes I had already forgot what day my brother would come and try and get me outta here. I didn’t really know how he would be able to get me out of here it pretty well secured besides…

Out of nowhere the building shook and continued to shake. What’s happening I keep asking myself and then scream start to fill and congest my mind, the view from the window covered with thick dark smoke. All of sudden I can almost smell death. I rush out the room to see what the cause of this is and what’s going on and my head become more and more bloated with screams and the emotion of fear. I gaze outside the window and I just stand there and think. How do I get myself out of this? I kept asking myself this and wondered and wondered. Until it struck me the best idea I could think of and it all comes from a children’s movie. Mary Poppins of course. The umbrella scene…

I have been awake before dawn at 0645 am all thanks to the scream therapy in the shower, I am washed by the cool air, air which seems that no one is breathing yet. I know where I am suddenly, I am part of this quiet and beautiful town and I am happy. Suddenly, the pure melancholy, first blue of morning begins. The air where one can bathe in. the electric shriek of a train, heels on sidewalks. The first birds. I am part of this town now.…

As I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen to make some dinner, I saw that the door was unlocked. I was surprised as I clearly remember locking it when I came in from getting the mail and if I did in fact lock it nothing could have came in… did something get out? No, no my mind is playing tricks on me I must have not locked it in the first place. My heart rate slowed as I relocked the door (making sure I actually did it this time) and I went back to the kitchen.…

The normal objects that would usually have met my eyes were mere blobs in the snow, indistinguishable among the white cover. As I tried to open my door to investigate further, my path was blocked by a wall of snow, unmoving and solid. A slight chill crept over me as the cold air poured into the warm home. The feeling of being trapped comes over me and I quickly try to think of another escape route. From the ground floor, I make my way to the next level of my house, finding myself in my room. Dodging the traps that could easily ensnare me, they had developed from weeks of not cleaning, but I still reached the other side. I struggled to open the tightly shut jaws of my window, not budging one bit, but finally the window gave way to my efforts, and I was free from my house that had become a prison. As I stepped out onto my roof, the crunching of snow underneath my bright yellow rubber boots met my ears, and the crisp, fresh, mossy mountain air filled my nostrils. Trudging through the snow atop my house, I searched for a suitable place to depart from my roof. After finding a rather particularly soft looking patch of ground, I prepared myself to do the unthinkable. With a deep breath, I closed my eyes as I leapt off my roof. As…

Last summer, on the last day of June, was a day that I will never forget. It was around three in the afternoon and I was very hungry. My parents don’t buy junk food, so I usually ask to walk to the nearby store to get some for myself. This time my dad said no! And he explained that we were eating dinner in an hour or so and that he didn’t want to take a chance of me not eating at dinner. As a twelve year old “adult” that I thought I was, I disobeyed my dad and went to the store by myself.…

I approach the first door, the one that I could not open before. Standing there, I look at the key in my hand, and I ask myself, "Will this key open the door?" I decide to go for it, and place the key in the lock, turning it slowly while I hold my breath. I hear a series of clicks, and the door swings wide open. To my amazement, I see my family having a picnic. They look so happy with their smiling faces in the sunshine, like pretty flowers blooming in springtime.…

I slowly squeezed the handle of the door in a downwards motion, only to realize it had barely moved. I gathered the last reserves of my strength that I had left in my body and pressed the handle again. No success. I pivoted around, leaned against the door, and slowly slid down to the ground. I felt faint. I was so thirsty that I could barely think about anything else. I had to get inside; had to pull myself together and open the door. Otherwise, I would faint there, near the front entrance to my own house.…

We reached the front porch as my father struggled to find the right key. As we entered the door, I was ready to kick off my shoes and head to my room to change into comfy clothing until my seven year old sister gasped in shock. This was when I was certain that I was right. “Our backyard window is broken!” I stopped in the middle of the hallway. “What happened?” was all I could manage to sputter out, but I already knew the answer. The couch was flipped over and the TV was gone. Being only thirteen at the time, I thought…
