What It Means To Be A Hero
What does it really mean to be a hero? To wear a red cape and fly around the city saving people from the unrealistic evil villain or just doing daily tasks that could help out or make someone's whole day. As Arthur showed us he was more than a typical hero but did other things that any other average person could do as well. The example he shows us that you should be willing to help out anyone at any time till you can be fully satisfied that you have done all that you can do to help someone or something out. Heroes can come with kindness, intelligence, and courage to help them define what they do that makes them a hero. ‘’kindness: the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate,’’quoted from the dictionary i wanted to give a full understanding of kindness means. Which can also be defined as a hero quality. Because if u dont have acts of kindness how do u expect to ever help someone in need, or bring kindness to someone else from your attitude because u never know what they need or are going through and a simple act of kindness could save them and make you a hero. Kindness, something to have as a quality all the time even in the worst of times for you or someone else.
Being intelligent a very important thing to be when either making smart decisions , doing good in school or doing something smart to help someone

you need this because without it you wouldn't be able to do anything you would be too scared to help anyone out or help yourself because, you could be your hero for being proud of doing things to help out but if you didn't have courage you would never be able to do those things. having courage isn't always saving a whole building of a burning fire but can be not being scared of what people will think of you sitting with someone who doesn't have anyone to talk to at lunch. courage is a good thing to have if you don't over do it and use it to your

What does being a hero mean to you? Well, to me, being a hero means being courageous and giving acts of achievements and accomplishments to the community. These people give back without realizing that they are giving back for good. Did you know that anyone can be a hero? Even you. But a hero doesn't just do something heroic and courageous just so they can be known as one. They are built up of selflessness and consideration and they put others before themselves.…

Heroism is about sacrificing the self for the greater good. Sometimes that sacrifice is part of a natural sequence of events, and sometimes it is a radical swerve from the path a person is on. Regardless, heroism requires a change to benefit others, often having the potential to harm the hero. A hero must decide that others are to be placed before themselves; they acknowledge that their very being is meant to aid the millions around them. In addition, heroes have a cause to fight for. The cause can be world impacting, or as simple as affecting one person. Whatever the cause is, a hero must dedicate themselves fully to what they believe. Heroes are in pursuit of perfection, but acknowledge their shortcomings as an obstacle to work around in order to help others. Heroes willingly accept their duty and don’t resent the sacrifices their decisions often require. Heroes are humble in their actions and don’t expect anything in return for their attempts to improve the lives of others. As Brodi Ashton, author of…

When you look up the definition of a hero it tells you that a hero is a ‘person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities, But what are these noble qualities’? Would strong-willed, mindful, beloved or caring fit into this category? A hero is someone who yes, may want glory or fame, they may be selfish or snobby but these people are still heroes. They may have many un-hero like qualities, but they do have one of the most important qualities… The quality to want to help those in need in any way. So ask yourself what makes you hero a…

One important quality of heroism is stepping out from their comfort zone to help others in need, as they put aside their own demands. Often times a hero has a choice whether to go and help others or focus on themselves and pay attention to their only needs, but the fact that they put down their focus on themselves to help another shows how a true hero can be distinguished from amongst the crowd. For instance, an example of this quality can be found in the story Love Triumphs: 6 Year Old Becomes a Hero to Band of Toddlers, Rescuers by Ellen Barry. In this story, a little 6 year old boy named Deamonte Love takes on the responsibility of taking care of several other children, including his baby brother and cousins when they all were separated from their parents due to Hurricane Katrina. Deamonte “promised he’d take care of his brother” after seeing “his mother cry when he was loaded onto the helicopter” along with the other children to be taken to safety(SB 20). Even if Deamonte was scared, he took the lead role in directing and watching over the children, putting his focus only on the children,…

When I think of a hero, I think of someone that goes that extra mile to take care of his or her own and others. A hero is someone who is courageous, brave, and fearless. Someone that is not selfish and will do anything needed even if it means that they could get hurt. Heroes do things like charity and volunteering, or they deliver kind acts to strangers without even thinking twice about it. A hero will save a child from drowning, or help someone that is in dire need. Heroes do these things because it is nurturing for them to do these things and not receive anything in return. It is the good that brings…

In my eyes, a true, authentic hero is someone with firm courage, nobility, faith, valor, hope, motivation, and bravery. It is someone who devotes time to help others and can truly be admired, one who fights or does things for a good cause. Being a hero means to be the one who steps forward and strives to do what is right, rather than what he/she finds pleasant, convenient, or just simply doing it because everybody else is doing it. Today, there are many different definitions to what a hero is, but a real hero is he/she who makes a difference in and is able to touch the life of other leading to a positive outcome.…

What is a hero? I feel that a hero is an ordinary person who can do heroic acts that no one else can do. Being a hero is not all about super powers and cool costumes. That is not what it is about, a hero must be strong, intelligent and brave. They must also commit to doing brave deeds for others too. Once they achieve this, they will be heroes. In addition, they are truly extraordinary people.…

What is a hero? What makes him or her different from everyone else? In Phillip Zimbardo’s article “What Makes a Hero?” he states that heroes surround us. One in five or 20 percent of people qualify as heroes. Seventy-two percent of people report helping another person in a dangerous emergency. Sixteen percent report whistle blowing on an injustice. Six percent report sacrificing for a non-relative or stranger and fifteen percent report defying an unjust authority (1). Although, I do feel like all people are heroes in certain circumstances I think some specific attributes exist that aid in making a hero. I feel like heroes must contain selflessness with a concern for other‘s needs, volition or the ability to confront a choice, and to perform without expectation of personal gain.…
