With respect to differences and similarities, the two events share the host community although Stereosonic Music Festival extends to Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. The participants for the two events are artists while the media play the role of promoting the events. The two events involve ticketed entry purchases or receipt with the sponsors providing essential services and resource. The sponsors of the two events seek intangible and tangible benefits for their sponsorship where BankSA and Uber increase their brand awareness besides promoting their public image. The events utilize public facilities or spaces. While the Stereosonic involves musical artists, Adelaide Fringe involves artists in music and other art forms such as visual art and design, film, puppetry, dance, comedy and circus.
