What is the important of Leisure and what are it function?

INTRODUCTION

Leisure as defined by Dictionary , is the “freedom provided by the cessation of activities; especially: time free from work or duties” . Parents often plan family leisure activities in an effort to improve relationships among family members.
Nowadays, everything becomes very "fast", leisure is an effective way to ease the pressure, relax, it has been closely linked with our life and our family members. In today’s society , not the rest of the people will not live, leisure has important effect on us, and our leisure activities has led the development of leisure industry, and will promote the development of society, Leisure can also strengthen the interaction between family members, increase the harmony of family members.
During the Leisure time , it can help the family not only to clarify the family roles and rules, and practice ways to enforce them ,but also provide opportunities for families to adjust to new surroundings and situations, which translates into stranger adaptive skill that spill over into other areas of family live.
At the same time , leisure time becomes an important way of life outside people’s work. When people feel tired, upset or boring. They try to find some leisure of life style to enrich their lives . In spare time, people develop various leisure. Such as walking in the park ,watching TV ,playing games ,traveling, doing sports with their families. In these leisure ,they can relax themselves without other troubles . Besides ,we can find the real mean of our lives ,the mean of happiness, the importance of family during we share our leisure time with our families . In other words ,leisure is a way to be happy . If you want to seek the happiness , enjoy the happiness of the family, make the family more harmonious, just relax yourself in the leisure time with your family members .
One of the biggest problems arising out of the social, economic, and industrial conditions of our society is the wise use of spare time. This problem is of vital importance not only for the individual bur for society. Most people are now faced with more working hours and therefore fewer spare time. So how to balance work and leisure time with their family members become the common problems of each families.
As far as I know , health and leisure is full filled in our lives . It has become manner of a kind of life, which lead people to a better life ! So we actively advocate health and leisure recreational way of life .

The function and significance of leisure

Everyone have a certain understanding of leisure and life, while some are different, but almost are similar. I also have a deep feeling to life and leisure, below is according to my real experience and some informations listed the functions and significances of leisure for our life.

1. Promoting harmonious relations with others.
In today’s society , not the rest of the people will not live, this is good, because these kind of people usually sensitive to be agitated because of their work , and this state will often affect the people around them , For example they often take angry to their friends ,colleagues, and family members because of the slight things, it will affect their relationships and family harmony . More leisure activities can vent their frustration, settle our feeling, can let a person from the tense work and study in the depressed, So let your happy feeling show to others, not only make feelings of pleasure for yourself, but also let people feel very comfortable, is conducive to maintaining harmony and other people around, friendly relations, to create a harmonious atmosphere.

2. To restore the physical, to keep healthy
People are not machines, but now many people regard themselves as machines, constantly overloaded with work, in order to live, in order to better material conditions, A lot of people disregard everything to work, do not pay attention to diet, do not take exercise, becomes a real workaholic. Because of the work day and night, the body will appear serious problems, such a life for a long time will lead to many diseases to the body. If we take leisure activities with our friends or family members in our leisure time , It can help our body recover quickly, avoid loss from overwork too much energy, allowing the body to effectively break.

3. Improve Your Quality of Life
Finding balance is also a reason why leisure and recreation can enhance your quality of life. Physical recreation, in particular, is associated with improved self-esteem. In addition, you're more likely to feel satisfied about your life when you regularly take part in recreation activities. This has significant implications for your mental health and, in turn, your physical health.

4. Leisure Lowers Stress and Depression
Mental wellness is an important part of your overall health and can impact your physical well-being. Participating in leisure and recreation activities can help you better manage stress and reduce depression. Leisure provides you the chance to find balance in your life; it also puts you in control of how you're spending your time, which is an important consideration because you may feel overwhelmed by obligations. Taking part in leisure activities as a family is also beneficial for your kids because you're modeling healthy ways to handle stress and emotions. Participating in leisure activities regularly reduces depression; in fact, just thinking about past outdoor recreation experiences can improve mood.
