There are policies and procedures for working safely which are, listening to children, whistleblowing, and duty of care, physical contact, propriety and behaviour and sharing concerns, and reporting them. It is everyone’s responsibility in the school setting to ensure that children are safeguarded. Ofsted monitor the schools safety standards set by the government.
Each school has their own safeguarding policy, which tells you how you should work with children, and protect them as well as yourself. You need to know how to protect yourself in your setting in case there are incidents where you are accused of abuse, or working inappropriately.
Children in the setting should be aware of safety around the school, so that they can develop their
