This developed rugby because as there was better transport this meant that teams could play each other and were able to go to away matches. As phones were developed this meant that people were able to communicate better and were able to plan rugby matches and training easily.

It now includes thirty five national governing bodies of each Olympic sport. The BOA and World Rugby are responsible for getting rugby back into the Olympics after being excluded in 1924.
