In the hero’s adventures they have many difficulties and achievements. These adventure are quite similar between different stories. Ender’s Game is one of these similar movies. The plot of the movie works with the Hero Quest Cycle (HQC). Ender’s Game is not like Clash of the Titans because of the way the story goes. It has protected youth before they show the unusual birth. Command school is on an old formic planet. Ender is sent to a fort on the planet. When Ender wakes up he is met by Mazar Rakhem who shoes him what happens after he defeated the Formic’s before. He learns that there is a pattern with the Formic’s; he learns that there is a queen ship which controls all the others. If they got rid of the queen the rest of them just quit and die. Ender is later on put into a simulation with Petra, Bean, Bernard and Ali. They go through many different types of simulations for preparation/ readiness for the final war which is coming quick. When the day of the ultimate test is near, all the high ranked people from the committee come to Ender’s final test. If Ender’s team can get through this battle he will be ranked “Battle Commander”. This final simulation is on the Formic’s planet. When Ender is confronted by a huge threat he uses all the fighter drones they have to protect their strongest ship. He uses their strongest ship to attack the Formic’s planet to get rid of all the other queens so they will never rise up again. When they attack the planet, the planet starts to disintegrate until all that’s left is lava and burned land. That is when the simulation ends. The committee is starts to talk to each other and then Cornel Graff and Mazar Rakhem come down to Ender to thank them for winning the war. When Ender heard that, he was confused. Graff and Mazar say that the Ender and his team actually were controlling the ships and they actually eliminated the Formic’s. After this Ender was emotional that he destroyed a whole species. Ender sees a formic structure which looks like a castle in a game he saw in a game. He runs toward it thinking that the Formic’s are trying to communicate with him. When he arrives he finds a dying queen which is protecting a queen egg so he takes the egg and travels space to find another planet to start another formic

However these gifted children are being used for unjust things like war and battling. Children within this age group should remain innocent and lives without feeling constant fear of the consequences of war and battle. Ominous music and dark lighting is used in almost every scene of Enders game, symbolic of the grief that the children have to experience daily at battle school. Ender in particular, throughout the entirety of the film is in constant state of fear and often faced with having to make decisions about the most excruciating of circumstances. In the second scene in Enders game we see a low angle shot of his face before his monitor is removed in conjunction with strong facial expressions of fear and anguish. His emotion are used by the producers to foreshadow what comes next, we hear screams and he is clearly in agonizing pain, raising the issue of how unethical this treatment is. Colonel Graff has no empathy or care towards children like Ender; his only focus is on the results of what these brainwashed children do for…

Very few good books translate successfully to a good movie adaptation and most people who both read Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card and watched the subsequent movie adaptation count Ender’s Game among the many rather than the few book to film adaptations. Almost every character changedt from the book to the movie in regards to either personality, physical appearance, or their given amount of screen time. The plot changed through added romances and the removal of concepts that failed to translate well on screen. While most readers appreciated the book Ender’s Game for its use of Ender’s perspective, allowing them to see what he saw, the movie shifts to a third person perspective. The movie captured the action elements of Ender’s Game using Hollywood techniques and fails to portray the unique perspective of the boy genius in favor of a more likeable protagonist.…

In Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game, the “mind game” is a constantly changing computer game made for the students and is used by the commanders of the battle school as a tool to monitor and analyze how the students are feeling. Ender Wiggin becomes increasingly obsessed with the game, specifically after he becomes stuck at the “Giant’s Drink”. At this point, the game seems to hit a dead end, with none of the options for the player to take being the right one and all of them ending in their “death”. The game would then reset itself so that the player might try again, and fail again. The Giant’s Drink is symbolic to many parts of Ender’s life; he sees, in the battle school, that following orders will barely…

For example, Colonel Graff took Ender to command school to train and be prepared to save the world, “‘As for me,’ said Ender, ‘I’m in favor of surviving” (Card 254). To put it another way, Ender knows that the world will remain alive if he saves it. One conclusion that can be drawn from this is all heroes are depended on to save something or someone, and Ender is being depended on to save humanity. Additionally, as Ender was in command school, he had many battles to prepare him for the last battle, “Within three seconds the entire planet burst apart , becoming a sphere of bright dust, hurtling outward… ‘They were all there and you destroyed them completely. They'll never attack us again. You did it. You.’ Real. Not a game. Ender's mind was to tired to cope with it all. They weren't just points of light in the air, they were real ships he had fought with and real ships he had destroyed. And a real world that he blasted into oblivion” (Card 295-297). In other words, Ender had exploded apart a planet that he didn't even know was real until he was told the Buggers wouldn't attack again. Therefore Ender just saved humanity and it was almost like survival of the fittest; either humans would survive and kill the buggers or the buggers would survive and kill the humans. For these reasons Ender is a hero due to the fact that he saved earth when everyone depended…
