What Is The Conclusion Of Reconstruction
Reconstruction After the Civil War, there was a period of time that lasted 12 years called Reconstruction (1866-1877). Reconstruction is the process of rebuilding something that is damaged or destroyed. Reconstruction helped other races, such as African Americans, become equal in a community of whites. During this period of time, there were multiple laws and amendments produced to help free enslaved African American. Some laws were against newly freed slaves, which denied the Africans things white people could do. In conclusion, Reconstruction was a period of time where there were drastic changes to the American Union.
