What Is The Climate Change In March Of The Penguins
During the winter for many years penguins had to face some of the harshest climate changes in Antarctica; This alone will be the cause of functional adaptation and the start of evolutionary changes. These changes added to the challenges which they endured each winter for survival. These penguins would walk miles to get to the nesting grounds a place where it was safe for them to mate and live with their nuclear family. The nesting grounds was miles away from the shore end so penguins would have to go months without eating adding more stress to the situations they faced. The film March of the Penguins relates to our course in many different ways, some more obvious than others. Even though some people may not find a connection with the movie and the course, the movie shows great examples explaining some of the new terms we learned, also the movie is a great visual tool as well, and it is great to use …show more content…
We witnessed the aging process from the prenatal stage to the postnatal stage and the struggles they faced through out the adult stage. Since the mothers couldn’t produce milk or Lactate for their young, this made the survival rate even lower; Both mothers and fathers would take turns going into the sea eating enough to feed not only themselves but their young as well. In the beginning, before the age of mankind, birds were the favorite species of the gods. All birds lived in a vast plain with lush trees as tall as sky scrapers. Grass, green and fresh, spread as far as the eye could see. The great gods adored these winged creatures more than any other creation. One group of birds they especially admired: The Penguins. Their intelligence, distinct colors, and general gracefulness of their nature intrigued the gods. However, the penguins were also known for their cunning acts of foolery. For instance, whenever a god came close to talk to a penguin, or simply to admire a penguin, the mischievous bird would immediately fly away to another part of the world. This made the gods feel foolish and frustrated, creating anger. One way the gods tried getting close to the penguins was by distracting them with shiny pieces of jewelry and metal, because the gods knew that penguins were fascinated by things that were glittery and bejeweled. On some occasions, the penguins would brazenly fly away and hide for a long time, whether it were for days, weeks, months, or even years!…

This film also explains the five elements to take a good picture, as well as better understanding different images as a whole. I never really understand the important of pictures, and I never realized how much a detail can throw an entire picture off until I took photography. I used to think that photos weren't that important until I actually had a deeper look into the meaning of a picture. They say a picture can speak a thousand words and I am now understanding what that actually means. Reading words can only paint a picture in your head and the image it paints in your head could be off, but physically seeing an image can give you a better assumption of what was happening in the picture as well as expressions and feelings that were being felt during that time. This film also explains why we know history the way we do and how the images that were taken back than can still be looked at and studied today, as well as knowing what our ancestors looked…

During the breeding season, people often gather around the cove at night to catch a glimpse. The penguins in Manly cove make their nests in rock crevices, sand or soft soil. Their nests are made of leaves, twigs, bark and human rubbish and they use their visual memory of land formations, lights and underwater contours to lead them back to their nests.…

As we all know, penguin lives in south polar, which is full of iceberg. But in this poster, the designer put them in a desert, which is very ridiculous. But it doesn’t don’t make any sense. If we leave the global warming alone, let the temperature keep going up. Someday, even the south polar will be just like the picture - turn to a desperate desert and the homeless penguins have to move to another place. The situation now is not optimistic already, so here we have the slogan here: we’re all on thin ice. This is an inconvenient truth that we are facing now.…

Only the 15% of the penguins live off to the South also some found in the temperate zone. Moreover, I did my report on the largest and biggest penguins which are the Emperor Penguins. The interesting thing that makes the Emperor penguins look different from the other penguins is their mating method. Also, they are the best swimmers of all. In addition, male Emperor penguin a stand on the ice for two months to protect their eggs and during this time, they do not eat anything. Due to this, they end up losing about 12kg of their weight. Like all of the Penguins, Emperor also contains a streamlined body which minimizes the drag while they swim. Their tongue does not let the prey escape. Both the males and females are same in size. The adults have black feathers which cover the head, throat, chin, back and tail. They have white belly and under parts while the breast is yellow. The bill of the Emperor Penguins is black and ears color is white. These birds are on disadvantage nowadays due to the climate change. A colony of the Emperor penguins on the island of West Antarctic Peninsula has gotten disappeared.…
