Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It means so much and is the foundation of our country. Without it, as a country we would be nothing. Rico Garilli an Acoustic Musician from the UK says “I believe in one rule and one rule only – ‘Do whatever you want in life, absolutely anything that feels right to you and evokes your own true happiness; as long as it has no negative effect on another soul”, this is what life means to him. There is some truth to what he says. We really can do whatever we want as long as we don’t interrupt the lives of others. Saying that, it is true that we can do whatever we please. However, is that what our founding fathers wanted for us?
I believe they wanted us to pursue our dreams but only to a certain point. I believe you are bothering another soul say you are tattooing your body your family and friends might not like that, another way you might bother someone is you could be doing bad things like smoke you could be hurting the people you love without even knowing it. Abraham Lincoln believed that liberty which had two meanings, “to fight for it. Liberty meant slavery should be extinguished; liberty meant the right to own slaves.” According to http://bigthink.com/words-of-wisdom/what-does-liberty-mean-to-youm this is what Abarham Lincoln believed. I disagree with the meaning, maybe back when Lincoln was president I would agree with him but now days I think the meaning is a little different. To me and a lot of other people the definition of liberty is our personal freedom, the freedom that gives us the right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.
