What Is Grammy Worthy
Purpose is a fantastic album that is Grammy worthy . It ranges from dance songs to " soothe " songs that show his amazing vocals . I didn't like the fact that most of the songs have the same beat which can make the album seem kind of-of annoying . I want to know which song you prefer No Sense or No Pressure ? I did go to his concert when he came to Miami , and it was lit I just wished that he spent more time singing than dancing . I give the album an 8/10 because some of the songs have the same beat . If you want to buy an album that has romance , inspirational songs , and dance songs then this is the album for you

If we want anyone in this world to accept us it would be our parents. That’s where we tend to beat ourselves up following the lead of our parents. This is a controller to help not beat ourselves up and become better individuals. She realized that she can become something better and that dark cloud that will always be there will not let her down for the rest of her life. There are things that can be accomplished and ways to get over situations that can creep up on you anytime. . In the song she uses pathos again,” To all your friends you’re delirious, so consumed in all your doom. Trying hard to fill emptiness. The pieces gone, left the puzzle undone. Is that the way it is?” she wanted us to pity her character. She used pathos by drawing the audience into the song emotionally like she needed us to and wanted us to, to listen to the message. She knew that this would be a subject at hand that not many others would want to come out and speak upon. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors, even the closest people to you. She allowed this song to show others what she stands for and not only did that build up more fans but a more diverse fan group. There is a use…

The Grammys classifies the composition under its rap category. In 2006 “Late Registration” was nominated for five Grammys of which it won three for best rap song, best rap solo performance, and best rap album. In my opinion the category suits the composition because though it is not typical, it still is rap. I believe that this song should be a part of our course because of its element of improvisation, which is one of the cornerstones of Jazz. As I mentioned before, West did not write down any of…

“I wasn’t raised in the hood but I know a thing or two about pain and darkness. If it wasn’t for this music I don’t know how I would have fought this.” Since he was born in Ohio, he obviously wasn't raised in a place that was hard for him to grow up and live, but just because of that it doesn’t mean that he didn't know how hard life can be and because of those hard times he was able to write his music and save himself. “I’m in constant confrontation with what I want and what is poppin’ in the industry it seems to me that singles on the radio are currency mr creativity’s only free when I’m playin’ shows.”…

There have been significant events throughout his life that have shaped him as an artist and human being. Matisyahu writes about what inspires him. A lot of inspiration comes from his religious beliefs, and some does not. Specifically for him, its the Torah that gives him inspiration. Even though a lot of his music incorporates his beliefs he never tries to endorse or promote any ideas on to his audience. He believes that fans connect to his music on all different levels whether the beliefs are obvious to them or not (Aish). That is what is so great about Matisyahu, anyone can enjoy his music. “Spark Seeker”, his latest album, has a lot of meaning. It is about elevating sparks of G-dliness stuck in this world, an idea from Kabbalah. He says “I feel that I was given a unique opportunity and gift from G-d. I am a Spark Seeker, as are many of us” (Aish). His famous song “King Without a Crown” has significant meaning as well. Much of the song is encouragement to seek G-d and to try to live a better life, asking for G-d to help you do so. Matisyahu was a heavy drug user earlier in his life, and the video and song are a depiction of someone who overcame their demons. On a higher note, the uplifting song “Sunshine”, according to Matisyahu, is about connecting his past and reflecting on his youth through memory and music. According to Matisyahu, identity is a process of discerning…

Diction helps to create a particular tone in the song because he uses lines that could either be understand as him showing off or him setting goals for himself, which could then be motivational. He says lines like “A Bugatti boy, plus payback” which if true is mind blowing because a Bugatti is a one million plus car and a maybach is a two hundred thousand plus car. On the other hand if those are goals then the songs switches to a more motivational song then a song that shows off his luxurious things. Denotation could be used as the motivational one in this song and then connotation could be the one where he shows off what he has. Overall diction helps give the song a motivational feel which could even inspire some people.…

Although this album differs from Alicia Keys previous albums I thought that it held good purpose in developing some of the political issues and movements she talks about. To emphasize the meaning of HERE Keys released a short film titled The Gospel, which addresses the police brutality in New York City. The 23-minute film represents the New York in which Keys grew up in and features a series of four-chapters about growing up there. This album as a whole I felt was a success due to her effort to incorporate so much awareness for the things that she cares about. While HERE is definitely a presentational album and not participatory for obvious reasons I think that many listeners can relate to the issues she addresses and appreciate the work that she has done (Turino). In conclusion, this album adds a new aspect to the types of music that she typically performs, adding a “grittier R&B edge” along with incorporating sounds from the streets of New York to represent herself…

    Calvin Harris Biography

This song stands out because Calvin Harris wrote this song himself and put his feelings into it. He wrote about his past and about how the grocery store he used to work at presented problems and about how it shaped him to be who he is today. This is especially important because most famous music artists don’t write their own songs and have somebody to do it for them. This song also has a unique beat, fast tempo, it is easy to dance to, and also easy to sing to; however it is very repetitive and needs more…

    Voodoo Doll Meaning

The song is written for listeners to sympathize and understand the writer. There is a lot of time and work that goes into each song, so much that it is really underappreciated. From the start, the entire concept is unique and amazing, as it truly is difficult to express love in the form of a voodoo doll. The different voices and tones of the members give color to the song, as if it were a colorless painting. Each member, just like how they are representing a specific pain, they are a particular color that conveys the pain to their audience. The concept fits each member in a different way and that is what helps tie the song, dance, and videos together in a neat package. The time that is spent to listen, understand, and enjoy this song can be as little and as long as one would want, but the true message is given to the listener the moment it is…
