What Is Fear In The Crucible
What is fear? Fear is the act of being scared of something. Usually, being afraid of fearing is just a state of mind. If your mind can tell you not to be scared then you won’t feel fearful but on the other hand if your mind tricks you into believing you should be fearful of something, you will become afraid of that person, place, thing, or object.

Fear is the reasoning for the accusations of witchcraft & the devil circulating around Salem. Abigail began to accuse everyone for practicing witchcraft but after awhile the little fib evolved into a gigantic lie that’ll change Salem & US history forever.     People are products of their environment and Abigail’s environment had shaped her into an emotional, unstable young girl. Consider this, her parents’ death created her need for attention and love, a need that John Proctor met for her. Consequently, when he betrayed her, she was driven into a temporary insanity. In the beginning she had no intent to involve witchcraft, but instead wanted everything to go back to normal, avoid conflict.
