Locus of control refers to the degree that people believe they control the outcome of their own actions in their life. There are two different types of locus of control. When people take responsibility for their actions and realize that it is because of their own actions that they received a certain outcome or consequence, then they have an internal locus of control. When an individual has an internal locus of control, they often will fix whatever problem they were having and attempt to do something different or better in future times.
