What Is Archibald-Personal Narrative
Imagine this, it’s the first day of summer and you find out that your crush, Archibald, is having a small get together to celebrate it being your senior year. Your parents are going out of town tonight so you decide to go and have fun for once, and maybe even hang out with Archibald. Archibald was the “it” guy of your class and he never seemed to notice you until the party. “Kennedy! Kennedy are you up? Come down here!” Yelled my mother from downstairs. It’s the first day of summer and you couldn’t by any happier. “Hurry Ken we have something to tell you!” “Okay mom, I’ll be right down!” I said as I was scurrying to put clothes on and brush through my hair. The only thing I can think about right now is Archibald. He’s having a small get together …show more content…
Love you, see you next week.” Mom yelled up the stairs as she and dad were walking out the door. Finally, I have the house to myself is all I could think. This is going to be the best couple days of my life. It’s now later in the day and people are slowly starting to show up, some who I’ve never even see before. Then in the middle of the crowd I see him, Archibald, I can’t help but stare and he seemed to notice since he came over to me. “Hey, thanks for letting have the party here, it really means a lot, Ken.” He said this to me as I was already planning out wedding in my head. He’s never called me Ken before, we’re moving so fast. “In fact let me make you drink, you can go mingle I’ll find you when I have it.” “Oh, uh okay yeah sure.” I was weary about doing this because in the news lately, girls have been getting the date rape drug in our area. I told myself that it really couldn’t happen in our town and none of the people here could actually do that to someone. Archibald came back a few too many minutes later with my drink. I got the vibe that he wanted me to drink it in front of him so he knew if he did a good job or not. I couldn’t just stand there, I had to drink it I mean he himself made it for me. He told me after a couple drinks that he’d make all of mine for me so I can watch the house a little. A few hours went passed and I started noticing multiple girls passed out throughout the house. I didn’t think much of it since it was a …show more content…
The last thing I remember before going to bed was seeing the house a disaster. I didn’t really clean the house for a couple of days because I knew I would have time before my parents came home. While cleaning the house I got some phone calls asking if I needed help and people informing me that it was Archibald who brought the drugs. But still, in the back of my mind, I knew it wasn’t him and I wanted to prove it wasn’t. I started cleaning again and found the pill bottle. I saw that it wasn’t even prescribed to a family member of Archibald, it was prescribed to one of his close friends so it made sense that people thought it was

I repeated these words to myself as I looked in the mirror wondering how I could tell Yolanda, Martin, Dexter, and sweet little Bernice… Oh, Bernice! She had just turned five less than a month ago. How could I tell them their beloved father has been shot? How will they understand? Yolanda was the oldest and the wisest. There is no way I could sugarcoat this. I slumped down behind the bathroom door and took a deep breath. What originally began as a day filled with strength, service, and self-reliance had now ended filled with despair, disbelief, and damage.…

LUCIAN'S POV (Soundtrack for this part: Sad by Josh Rouse) Things started to change, Noelle became someone significant in my life. Someone I could stare at for a long time, I don’t want to understand what I am feeling because I have always been the worst person to handle emotions. Dreams about her came to my mind every night, no more nightmares but dreams that made me feel good and so fatal at the same time. Good because in my dreams she knew about my feelings and we were one.…

I looked down at my brown leather boots and heard an angelic voice from across the room calling my name. I glanced up and seen Xavier staring at me ever so slightly. He was trying not to make it noticeable that he was looking at me, but I could definitely tell what he was trying to do. He walked over towards me for the first time since I have known him and I noticed that he was much taller than me. I am five feet seven inches tall, and he was easily a head taller than me. His chapped lips parted, and out of his mouth came that angelic voice once again. “Emma, will you do me the honor of being my date to the Prom?”…

“You seem to have missed a lot of stuff. Do not worry, we have your coordinates. I will come down to you and pick you up. There is a lot to explain.” There sure was a lot to explain. All of the sudden, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Picking me up? My grandfather, who I thought was dead and who probably did still think that I was dead, was about to meet me? I jumped out of my chair, walking up and down through the tiny room. Johnny woke up because I made such a noise while panicking from one corner of the room to another. “I’m sorry, my dear”, I said, walking up to him and petting his…

I had watched everyone come in the door. I was waiting for one specific face, but that face never came into the door. I started to get worried so I asked Mrs. McCarthy. “Mrs. McCarthy, Have you seen Alyssa today?” She gave me this blank stare. “No I have not.” I nodded and headed back to my seat. A few minutes later the door opened and Alyssa came running in. “Alyssa, why are you late?” Mrs. McCarthy asked as Alyssa sat down in the seat beside mine. “I’m sorry ma’am, I woke up late.” Alyssa mumbled. She looked worn out. I was going to ask what happened but decided that it wasn’t the best thing to do. I’ll just ask her after school.…

Time had flown by as the hours were drowned in coronas, cheap whiskey and blunt after mind numbing blunt. It was now about six in the after noon when I had the choice between two friends and two very different outcomes for the night. Throughout the day we had been drinking and smoking our way down to the beach and had met up with a couple of friends. One was Ian who was going back to his house where his parents were buying delicious roast beef sandwiches and Kimball who had a car and Pappy who had a large bag of pills that surly had big red warnings on there bottles not to enjoy with alcohol. Well we decided on the later and went with Pappy and Kimball. As we got into Kimball’s dilapidated 1980’s crown Vick station wagon, a car that could not make it up most of the steeper hills in the city I started to get a funny feeling in my stomach. I quickly remedied that with a handful from the bag o’ pills and we were off. The first stop was to pick up a few girls who Kimball had said wanted to ride, in reality they just wanted a ride we would find out later. When we picked up the girls I don’t…
