The Renaissance was a time when talented persons renewed roots and established many forms of art and expression. It was a major turning point for the world of religion and art that started in the 14th century or so. It was what most people remembered as coming out of the Middle Ages. Many reforms and dramatic events occurred during the Renaissance because it was a time of rebirth of the Roman culture. Many artist found themselves in some of the best places painting and sculpting for the best known people. They made new art styles that flourished with Italian techniques. The events that occurred during the Renaissance helped inspire the art of some of the best artist whose art became very famous, and that changed the look on art for generations using those techniques. Within those reforms those artist started to display and share their artwork along with the ideas that came with them, and people started to pick sides as too what they would start to do with their culture and beliefs. These sides turned into mainly sides of religion. Many different attempts to save the way religion use to be started. Churches began to reform. High religious leaders started to sell indulgences. Those indulgences were a way of keeping the churches afloat in the chaos that was erupting at the time. The churches also translated the Bibles and other religious books. Churches did that so that the majority could not read them. Doing that allowed the priest, popes and others religious powers to continue their control because the people of those places were unable to read the books for themselves to know if what the churches said was the truth. That helped those churches to keep their control because with the majority of the population unable to read the books, whatever the churches said was supposedly what God
