The Story of The Great Gatsby all summed up is about a man Jay Gatsby and his journey to win over the love of this life Daisy, he uses hope to fuel his drive for taking Daisy and ultimately ends in a tragic event. Green for Gatsby’s money and how rich he is, blue for Gatsby’s hope and his chase for daisy, throughout the whole story the book focuses on his hope, red for danger Gatsby’s secret life and his past how did he get all this money
When Nick was invited to Gatsby’s party for the first time he soon learns all the rumors surrounding Gatsby’s past, some suggest he has killed people while others say he is related to Kaiser wilhelm. These rumors all over the place and not realistic it adds more mystery to how he got all his money. People like Tom think he is a bootlegger because of how fast he got his money. His past is shown though and we learn that he came from a family of farmers where he was poor and left his family to become rich.
