Leah was doing well. Daniel found out about a friendship that she had with a man named Marcus. Daniel found out that Marcus was a Roman soldier, and this enraged him again. He took all of his anger out on Leah. Leah became scared and traumatized again. Daniel sent a friend to find Thacia. When he found Thacia she went and sought out Jesus and Jesus came with her back to Daniel and Leah. Jesus healed Leah and because of that Daniel began to understand that love and forgiveness were far better traits than isolating himself and rage and rebellion. He offered for Marcus to come in to say good-bye to Leah. It was because of Jesus that Daniel learned that hate is the only enemy. Throughout this book Daniel went through a series of trials where he was battling with himself and trying to understand the words repeating in his head that Jesus preached.
