It is okay to lose yourself sometimes as long as you find yourself in the end, coming back stronger than before. Everyone forgets who they are every once in awhile and has to search for the person he or she is by going on a mental path. To remember is a strong impact on who you are as a person, for example memories are the sentimental things that creates the person you are. When you forget these memories, in effect you forget who you are just as if a scar disappears you slowly forget the injury and this is why you cherish all memories. This is explained in lines 10 and 11 as it says, "I can recognize you who are always the same who pretend to be time." The significance of this quote is that it is saying that people think that they have all the time in the world, therefore they are not accepting these memories and not being the person they truly are.
