What Does Blood Symbolize In Macbeth

William Shakespeare's play Macbeth tells the story of how the main character starts out as a noble lord but becomes a ruthless killing machine. As the play progresses Macbeth starts to kill lots of his peers because he is very focused on becoming king. What caused this was that Macbeth went to see the three witches to see what his future is going to look like when he becomes king. When he first met the witches . For Macbeth and Lady Macbeth blood represents Lady Macbeth’s and Macbeth’s to escape their murderers deads. Before Macbeth became king he had three titles which were Thane of Cawdor, Thane of Glamis and of course king. Another reason for Macbeth’s titles is because the three witches gave these titles is because of what he did
For example when Macbeth killed King Duncan he was pretending to see a fake dagger that was in front of him and when he tried to grab it wouldn't clutch to his hands. After Macbeth killed Duncan he didn’t want to back to the chamber because he was worried that people would find out and think that he is the one that had killed King Duncan.

Another example is when Lady Macbeth starts to sleepwalk at night and that she is asking herself lots of questions about the blood that is on her hands. She has no idea how she got it on her hands and that she does not know where it came from. Lady Macbeth had written a letter and then put it away in a doar and forgotten about it. Another example is that she was talking like Macbeth was in the room as if he was really with her but was not.

So Lady Macbeth tries and tries to wash it off but it is not coming off because it is permanent. Since she is sleepwalking she also talks to herself and that she speaks as if Macbeth is in the room but he is not because he is dealing with the murder of King Duncan.
