What Did Hoover Do During The Great Depression

Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt both served as President during the Great Depression. Hoover was a Republican and Roosevelt was a Democrat, which means they both had different ideas and plans to deal with the Great Depression. Both these Presidents had a similar approach with economic policies, by using the federal government to help recover the country. Roosevelt was more involved than Hoover to fight through the depression and Roosevelt was more supportive to the people and inform them that the government is helping them. When the depression hit Hoover believed in the principles of laissez-faire and that the economy was just going through a cycle. Hoover didn’t help the depression until the last year of his presidential term by implementing
