What Are The Three Branches Of Government
How the three branches of the U.S. government work and keep their powers equal. First off, colonists drew up the constitution which they made a government and wanted to make sure it was strong. They also wanted to make sure the power was balanced. So they created 3 branches of the government, which those 3 branches are called: Legislative, Elective, and Judicial. The Legislative branch makes laws for the country, also known as congress. Congress is comprised of 2 groups, the Senate, and the House of Representatives. ⅓ of the Senate gets elected every 2 years.
