Health care in the United States compared to other countries is horrible. Health care should benefit all parties involved not just the big insurance companies. As I watched Sicko I thought to myself “oh gosh I hope I don’t get sick with cancer I can’t afford it.” It is very sad that we as one of the wealthier countries do this to our own people. Health care should meet certain moral standards like making sure all of the individuals that are paying are going to be taken care of. I think it is very unjust to put customers through the ringer to try and obtain insurance when they won’t qualify. Limits to health care I feel are just in certain situations. A person who is not a citizen shouldn’t get the same health coverage as someone who is a citizen. I feel we need health care for all individuals, but it is the tax payer’s money and if we continue to provide healthcare to individuals that are not paying themselves. After watching Sicko I was really shocked with what I learned. I didn’t see how we could live in a country that is supposed to be this great place that is supposed to be the greatest country to live in is really one of the bad ones when it come to our health care. I thought it was amazing how England, France, and even Cuba could offer their people free healthcare. I don’t see why America can’t do the same for us. We obviously pay a lot in taxes every year there is no reason to not have healthcare free for all people that are legal citizens. As a whole America needs to take a look at other countries and see what it is we are doing wrong. The president should have stared a low cost healthcare he should fix the things that need to be fixed in order for Americans to have free healthcare. I also hated to see real stories of American people who are at retirement age and are working jobs that are so labor
