Typically, values and goals are closely tied to an organization's mission. These guiding principles can be the most important tools for managers, employees and customers. Additionally, the use of these deeply held principles can assist with important decisions within the workplace. To focus on the Quicken Loan’s structure, they created a group of 18 ISMs that represents the company’s values and goals. The Internet based giant live by these ISMs, instilling them deeply into the root of the company.
