What Are My Goals For College
One of my goals for this school year is to get caught up with my credits. The second goal I have this year is to figure out what I want to do in life (career wise). Then the third, after i figure out what i want to do for the rest of my life I want to find a college or trade school.

I want to get caught up so I’m not over 22 and still in school. Getting caught up will be a challenge, maybe a challenge and a half but it’s my goal and I’m willing to complete it. I want to get caught up so I can graduate on time. I don’t want to be over 18 and still in high school.

My second goal is to find a career path I want to take. A lot of things interest me, for example being a detective/crime investigator. I’ve always found an interest in that and that's

My goals on a short term scale for this semester are primarily academic, emotional, spiritual, and personal/professional. By the end of this semester I will have accumulated a g.p.a. of a 3.5 or higher. To do this I will have to give up nights with friends and partying, but I believe it will all be worth it. I…

Even though I have already achieved some of the goals that I had laid out for myself in my senior year of high school there are still some more that I will be working on. For an example I set out a goal to become employed as a Dental Assistant by the time I finished my college classes in March of 2015, and now I can mark that one off my list. By the end of my…

My mid- term goal for education is to go to college. I want to go to George Mason University ever since I was a kid, I never had a good reason to, I just like it. Just in case I don’t get accepted there, I want to go to Mary Mount University because my aunt goes there. I know I will be majoring in business because I will need it to be good at my future job when I grown up. I know college isn’t like high school because you have a lot more responsibilities. I want to live in a dorm as well or move in an apartment with my friends because it seems pretty fun. My mid-term goal for employment is to be in a good paying job that will pay my bills and car insurance and that will give me some experience for my future job. Maybe shadow someone that is in the field I want to be in or be an intern for them.…

Is it smart to set goals before college? ‘‘About half of all students who start college don’t finish. Roughly one quarter of freshmen drop out before sophomore year,’’ according to Career Prep Academy. Twenty-five percent of freshmen’s in college drop out before their next year in college. Students drop out for many reasons and one of these being not setting goals for themselves, many students might believe that setting goals is creating a path to failure and unrealistic dreams, but in contrast setting goals helps students stay on the path to completing college. By setting goals and measuring their achievements, students are able to see what they have done and what they are capable of, it helps them to stay focused on their path by guiding them on what they ought to achieve in life. Seeing…

There are several fundamental reasons why students all over the world choose to pursue higher education: to broaden their knowledge base, to achieve financial independence, and to be a part of an environment that fosters personal growth. I truly believe that the best way to accomplish these three goals is to fully immerse oneself in a stimulating environment, where there is an abundance of opportunities to grow both during and after college. I am currently a second-year student at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), and I spent my first year of post-secondary education at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC). I am highly interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, but my current institution only offers…

An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn a degree. There are many types of goals. Growing up, I always dreamed of being two things: a mother and a nurse. I am blessed to have two wonderful children ages 14 and 16 and have had the privilege of being able to be a stay-at-home mom during their younger years. Now that they are older and a bit more independent, I have decided to go back to school and fulfill my goal of earning my degree in Nursing. Throughout the years of growing and maturing, I have learned how important it is to have good morals, values, goals, a passion for something, and a good education. I have not only taught my children the importance of these characteristics, but I have also shown them that regardless of one’s age or stage in life, that…
