What Are African Americans Treated Differently

Americans have treated many groups of people badly, but a group if people I think we treated really poorly was the African Americans. We made them our slaves and abused them and treated them very bad just because they have different color skin then us. Even after slavery was illegal we still treated them horrible. We did not even let black and white kids go to the same school. African Americans did not get to drink out of the same water fountains as white people either. In the south if a black man even looked at a white women they could get beat for it. We treated them very poorly for no reason.
