Introduction
As wellness tourism, which is a new trend, is growing attention in countries around the world, it raises the attention of tourism sector and hospitality industry which they are trying to adopt on the new trend to get the biggest market share. Nowadays, people are become more aware on their health issue, they are looking for relaxation during their vacation, which creates the demand of wellness tourism. This report aims to discuss the definition of wellness tourism, the reasons that driven wellness tourism becomes a pop up trend around the world, illustrating India, as one of the country that is highly developing wellness tourism, as a case study to understand the advantages and disadvantages of this tourism. Last but not the least, how is this trend going to affect the hospitality industry in different aspects.
