someone angry because they are bad-tempered or because something bad happened? In this case you should be following all of the 3 steps that being mentioned previously and the style of External attribution. You should first of all look at the person’s behavior. Let say the person is angry and being aggressive to all what is around him , after that make a logical conclusion to his intentions which might be avoid contacts and solitude.

I want to start my essay with telling you what is the Attribution Theory. Attribution Theory is a theory that supposes that one attempts to understand the behavior of others by attributing feelings, beliefs, and intentions to them. So basically what it says is that people are trying to put their selves into the situation they’ve never been before and explain the behavior of another individual. In particular, this may be attributing to other social objects (individual, group, social community) characteristics that are not represented in the field of perception. There is 3 steps of it: Observing the behavior of human, The logical conclusion of the person’s intentions and the last but not least The attribution of human motives. And the fact that I find really interesting about the attribution concept is that there is 2 really interesting and maybe skeptical styles of attribution such as: Internal attribution which is-

    Attributions are the causal judgments about why the event or behavior occurred. These attributions can be either internal (made about a person’s characteristics, e.g. personality) or external (made about a person’s situation e.g. weather). One type of the attribution theory that helps us to determine the “why” in behavior is the Kelley’s Covariation Model of Attribution (Kelley, 1967). In this model, behaviour is analyzed to see how well it is correlated either internal or external factors or a combination of both. When making attributions using the Kelley’s covariation there are three criteria in which the attributions are based on: consensus, distinctiveness, and consistency. Consensus criterion is whether the behavior is correlated with the situation or in other terms whether different people do this behavior in the same situation. Distinctiveness refers to the correlation between behaviour and the individual specifically how unique the behavior is to that particular situation.
