The governments of Weimar Germany were unsuccessful in dealing with the political, economic and social issues present in Germany from 1919 to 1929. Politically, the Weimar government was unstable, which hindered decision making. The economy was also precarious, and, despite efforts to rectify it, it remained so from 1919 to 1929. In a social sense, the ways in which the Weimar Governments dealt with issues greatly divided society and caused many Germans to retract their support for the government.
