Hi Dr. DiGiovanni,
Thank you so much for your feedback on my paper.
I will try to remember not to use the first person “we” and “our” in future papers.
One last item as I work on my time management, the “life happens week” for Capella courses.
Does that mean my week 10 discussion posts and responses are not necessary?

    For myself, I believe that I create a melody where there is none. In a situation as simple as a conversation, the melody is the driving force or “reason” for a composition. This reason can simply be suggested as the plot or point of the conversation. In music, even with complex and atonic compositions such as Stravinsky, it is clearly possible to listen for the repetition of a phrase or tonal quality that may help one forward through the piece of music. The crescendo and decrescendo of the music, the contrapuntal nature of complex compositions, even the division of an orchestra into sectional pieces of a song are all methodology in which to create the climax, a climax found to be stronger under the influence of a melody that does not exist until discovered.     ENGL 202 was a tremendous experience for my second quarter at Humphrey's University. I feel that I have benefited from the knowledge gained from the course and learned vastly to working and analyzing not only my own writings but also with other writings. In the beginning of this course, we have learned how to specifically understand how a well-versed paper can be defined and what it is not. The first essay that we analyzed was based off a concerned parent to beauty pageants for children under 10 years of age. We first analyzed her topic and learned that while it is a concerning issue, her essay was no more than a simple rant that lacks research and specific data that would be relevant to her essay. From there we analyzed other topics that, while they were well-researched topics, they had specific “holes” in them that affected their credibility, such as a lack of authority towards the author or missing valuable research.
