Week 1 Dq 1 & 2
DQ 1:Do you think that all six dimensions of health are equally important? Why or why not? As far as I'm concerned, 'health' refers to the choices that we make each day that affect our bodies and minds.
Our health changes according to everything that we do.
This includes things like the food we eat, the people we spend time with, and the intellectual stimulation we give our minds.
The effect that these have on our bodies are all included in the idea of 'health.
''Wellness' sounds more individual to me.
We should all be trying to reach our personal wellness goals.
Personally, I put the most effort into my physical health, emotional health, and spiritual health.
I think that everyone has a different point of view about what aspects of health are most important to them.

DQ 2:Does being physically healthy equate to having overall health and wellness?
Being physically healthy doesn't equate to having overall health and wellness.
Although being physically healthy is a big part of having overall health andwellness, there are other factors to consider when looking at the big picture.
I think you can be in good shape but still have other problems that can really take a toll on your health as a whole.
On the other hand, I think being physically healthy is a good way to build upon your overall health.
So even though being physically healthy isn't the only thing you should be thinking about, it is definitely really important.
I believe being physically healthy is just a little piece of the big picture.
I believe I am a physically healthy person in general, but there are some days I am drained emotionally, and mentally.
These days just being healthy physically just can't cut it.
In reading this chapter I think I do a pretty good job in keeping a healthy well rounded life.
Just being physically healthy isn't going to work if everything else is out of

Most people will think of physical wellness as how they are feeling, whether they are sick, tired, or injured in some sort of way. According to Harper, he defines physical wellness as the ability to perform daily activities in a safe, capable, and efficient manner, as well as the physical capacity to respond effectively in unusual situations (2008). Harper further mentions that there are five components of physical wellness, such as cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. If a person does not have physical wellness then they are at an increased risk of a lifestyle disease such as hypokinetic disease, diabetes, and obesity. One way of getting started into a goal of being physically well is to check your Body Mass Index (BMI), hip to waist circumference, and partaking in…

One of the sides from the triangle is physical health. Physical health is the overall care of your body and how your body feels both inside and out. Ways to improve your physical health include exercising to keep your body fit and the cleanliness of your body. Eating a well balanced diet also improves your physical health because that's how you get the vitamins, minerals and the nutrition your body needs to function and grow. Some of the things that I do are that I try to eat more fruits and vegetables instead of junk food and drink plenty of water. I also go play sports with family and friends for fun and to get some exercise. These things are important because eating more healthy choices lowers the risk of getting diabetes and heart diseases. It also gives my body the energy to do daily activities to stay in shape.…
