We Heart It: A Short Story
I'm getting a bit sick of how beautiful my depression is supposed to be . It's been glamourised by now , to the point where even the sane ones are wearing black eyeshadow and calling themselves suicidal . I ,in no way , mean to cheapen anyone's aesthetic .You go girl .Listen to Lana Del Rey and exploit your " We Heart It " app .But just realise , that depression does not give you an edge over others . And more over , please don't make it an essential component of every "beautiful " girl.Because ,depression ,at its rawest , is anything but .There is nothing glamorous about feeling worthless ; nothing aesthetically appealing about the simple fact , that no matter what you do and who you talk to , you feel lonely . And movies , books and songs have been convincing advocates of the fact that , one fine day , a boy will drop by , admire your demons and then save you from them .

I believe the the original ending to the short story “Button, Button” creates the best impact on the audience. The ending of this version teaches a lesson about how selfishness and greed can lead to terrible events happening. In the Twilight Zone adaptation of the story, when Norma pushes the button, she receives the money and is told someone she doesn’t know will be given the reprogrammed box. After the suspense was built, the ending was completely uneventful and exactly the offer that was promised with no abnormality or hidden consequence like in the other forms of the story. The movie “The Box,” was least like the original story because it was a test. The ending of killing and sacrificing made the story less relatable because of its complexity…

Once upon a time, there was a world in which every kid received a wand from the Gods themselves. One of these kids was a boy named David. Growing up, David had a great interest in the wand, however, he never really knew how to use it. He would spend days waving it around, sticking in the ground, and even going as far as naming it. "Hrad Wrok" he called it. He imagined all the problems that he could fix in the world if only he could harness the wand's magical powers. Sadly, just like everyone in his community, the older he grew the less interest he had in this "stick" because he did not know how to use it. And by the time he reached adolescence he was fully apathetic and locked it away as his peers instructed him to do. These dark ages continued and the wand was kept locked away acquiring dust.…

Surrounded us is a town with shudder scene contain special motifs. It was a sharp-angled shape. I felt the creep of the neighborhood and the air of sadness. Everything seemed different from me and my group. Was there any miracle? - was the question in my head. How can it possible? All the houses in the town exactly the same like brothers born on the same day, same mother, same father. In front of single house had a green yard with a boring flower be planted in the straight line bordering the aisle to gate. Immediately, I thought if I can figure out how many flowers are there that will be absolutely the right the number for each house. There were many children skipping the rope and rebounding the ball up and down in front of all the houses in…

Depression hits people in different ways, and can largely depend on what circumstances brought out the depression. For some, an unexpected tragedy may launch them into a full-scale depression, and they find themselves unable to get out of it. In general though, depression does not tend to come out of nowhere. It seems to be a gradual weakening of one’s ability to carry on, and then finally, one day the lowest low hits, and suddenly depression…

It's funny how life can be up one minute and down the next minute, and every time you try look at things in a posive way, there is always something that makes you realise that, no this is life and not everything is peaches and cream. Today I woke up feeling down and depressed but there was no reason for me to feel like that, so I did what everyone expects me to, I put a smille on my face and pretended like everyhing was fine, which it was. It was just me who wasn't, you may ask yourself why not just come out with it and tell someone what is really wrong with you or act exactly how you feel, down and depressed. Well see thet is not really that easy to do beacuse all my life I've always wanted to make sure that other people are happy and that I look happy to others so I wont have to bother them with my soapy sad stories of how sad I am and all the weird stuff that comes with it. I much better prefer it when people come cry to me than me cry to them because I taught myself how to be there for others as well as how to be there for myself so others wont have to worry or be bothered by me. Showing when I'm sad and angry and depressed is not reallly who I am or what I like to do, call me sellfish or a people's pleaser it really is fine with me because for as long as I can remember it's worked for me. And you know what the funny part is? As I started typing this essay I was down and depressed but now that I 've come to the conclusion I'm fine and myself again, and this is what I've been trying to say the whole time... I am my own…
