In this report I am going to be analysing the profitability, efficiency and liquidity of SIGNature Ltd. As shown by their accounts for the year ended 31 January 2010. Ratio Analysis is a form of Financial Statement Analysis that is used to obtain a quick indication of a firm's financial performance in several key areas. Ratio analysis is good because it helps to compare current performance with previous records and it also helps monitor and identify issues that can be highlighted and resolved. However, there are some limitations with ratio analysis. For example it only includes numerical data, and no other sources of information which will explain more things which can be more understandable.…

    F. Considering all the information you have gathered, why might this information be important to potential creditors, investors, and employees? All the information above is important to creditors because it helps to determine whether or not to lend money to a company. Ratio analysis helps in intrafirm comparison by providing necessary data. An interfirm comparison indicates relative position. It provides the relevant data for the comparison of the performance of different departments. If comparison shows a variance, the possible reasons of variations may be identified and if results are negative, the action may be initiated immediately to bring them in line. However, in spite of being such a useful tool, it is not free from its limitations. A single ratio is of a limited use and it is essential to have a comparative study. The base used for ratio analysis viz: financial statements have their own limitations. Also, they consider only the quantitative aspects of business transactions where as there are various other non-quantitative aspects such as quality of work force which considerably affect profitability and productivity. Also, ratio analysis as a tool is also limited by changes in accounting procedures/policies.…

Because Ratio Analysis is based upon accounting information, its effectiveness is limited by the distortions which arise in financial statements due to such things as Historical Cost Accounting and inflation. Therefore, Ratio Analysis should only be used as a first step in financial analysis, to obtain a quick indication of a firm's performance and to identify areas which need to be investigated further.…

Words have an enormous influence on us. They can make us be happy or unhappy, kind or angry, condescending or merciful. They can revive or kill us. For us to be a part of society is very significant to feel the support that goes directly from people who are close to us. As usual we express it with words that show our true and sincere attitude to a person. Or not who knows. But there is one very essential point. Sometimes words don’t work for us. “The word you did not say is your slave, the word that escaped from you is your master” said one very wise Oriental poet. And it is proved for centuries. Everyone has such situation when you say something angrily or even unconsciously and then you understand that you abuse or offend a person and it could be even a first step to a conflict. And then even after all things are set, you remember that unpleasant moment in your soul, you try to forget with all your heart but cannot. But it is hardly possible to avoid such situations. Sometimes they help us to reconsider our behavior and force us not to put on airs. But nevertheless somebody suffers.…
