The United States should care about this situation because it could be the reason it’s affecting our weather as well. The rivers that are being affected in China could affect our oceans. By affecting our oceans we wouldn’t be able to do certain things like trade and enjoy them in the summer. Also it could affect our health if that water was to be transferred to here. The polluted water in China could travel to other parts of the world causing more and more water to be polluted then there won’t be any good water for us to use. The moves and the techniques the author uses to make the reading more effective by adding data of how many people get sick and how many people die because of these polluted waters.
