Water Bottle Car Research Paper
What water bottle-designed car will travel the fastest? There are many factors that are important in determining the answer to this question. One is how much kinetic energy is needed to push the water bottle car forward. Also, Newton’s third law of motion tells how the air can push the car forward based on the force that the air from the balloon pushes backwards. Aerodynamics helps clarify how the air moves over the car and reduces the drag of the car. Overall, all of these factors play a part in determining which water bottle-designed car travels the fastest.
The definition of energy is the ability to do work. All energy is put into either kinetic energy or potential energy. When something is moving, it uses kinetic energy to keep it moving.

Aerodynamics is the way air moves around things. A car can move more efficiently when the car is rounded. Because the car is rounded, the air brushes past it making the car easy to move. If the car was squared then the air would hit the corners and edges and it wouldn’t move as efficiently. This is because when the air goes across an edged surface, it doesn’t glide over the surface. The air has to make sharp turns over the car making the drag on the car bigger. Like the cars, shapes of water bottles make a difference in water bottle-designed car’s speed. When the water bottle-designed car is built, different shaped water bottles are used to make different shaped cars. The most rounded water bottle will probably go farther because the air moves better across the rounded bottle than against the square, edged bottle.
What water bottle-designed car will travel the fastest? Knowing the 3 factors that determine which car travels the fastest, it is easier to understand the experiment. One of the factors is kinetic energy and how it pushes the water bottle car forward. Also, Newton’s third law of motion tells how the air from the balloon pushes the car forward.     With the scientific method activity I went, with the car experiment. I had to experiment my concepts before, I can found the correct problem. Regularly the first thought that comes to a mind, when my car will not start up for the reason of the battery. I have experimented with, the battery first and that was not the issue. I came to the conclusion that it might be an electrical issue, so I switch the spark plugs. It was not the spark plug also. Then I decided to observe the fuses, which it became apparent that it was the issue. Thinking well I use the steps, for scientific method by experimenting all of my concepts and making a conclusion. I do obtain large amount of car problems. I have gone through an estimate amount, of three cars in the last three years for the reason I did not have any knowledge of what was the problem with them. I could have created some ideas, and then experimented with them. I might have tried to save, the car before I fully lost the car. For the future when I obtain car issues, I would try to use the scientific method to solve the problem before it turns out worst. First thing I would do is making, an inspection about the problem.
