My Childhood Game
Everyone loves their childhood including me. This is the time when we are most energetic and playful. I can't really remember my childhood memories but I can assure that my childhood seemed to be a place of happiness and joy. Days where you're childhood friends, cousin having a bonding and will create a memories to remember. Times that you don't worry for anything, all you care is you can play with your friends. That's why, when I was a little girl I never missed the feeling of playing stuffs until it came to the point It's one of my hobbies.

I grew up in a province which is surrounded by farm, green environment, far from a town, anda very active cousins. In front of our house is my second home during my childhood days which is called the pavement. This is the place where my friends and I meet in the afternoon for an amazing and tiring game session. We usually play the hide and seek and it's one of our favourite game to play and some other games that includes running and jumping. How does this game work? Well it's simply easy and it's one of the traditional childhood game. But we have a different version of playing it. It's mostly the same but there are things we've changed. Whenever we play hide and seek, I always plan my hiding place first because I don't want to be the first one who get caught and be the next seeker in the next game. I usually in a place where it's kind of dark so that they can't really see me. Sometimes I hide lying down in a grass with a tall and thick plant. Guess what? It works. I think It's more fun when you hide than a

seeker, because it's like there's someone is looking for you but they can't caught you right away.
There's
Viernes II mix feeling of intense and nervous that the police wants to get you in to the jail. I missed the word "
BANG", where the seeker usually says when he caught you. The sad part is when you get caught first and you have the possibility to be the next seeker. And that I realize that when you're playing with this game you need to have an effort and determination when you are a player. A hiding place that will comfort you and will save you to the next game. When the evening comes, my parents got really mad because
I
don't go home on time. They taught that someone kidnapped me or something went wrong. That makes them more crazy to worry. Until I found out that they just want protect me from bad thing and they make us me show how important I am to them.

Childhood is free from cares. Where there are no duties and responsibilities on the shoulders of a child. "We only live once". So why not enjoy your childhood days before it last. Well, we wouldn't know when and what's will going to happen next. . My childhood days was not that complicated, nor boring but I have the best and fun times with the cousins. Childhood, will always be in my heart and
I'll
treasure it until I got married and have kids to an old grandmother.

The first game my group played was called Long Story Short. It was a game that consisted of five players, each with white boards and dry erase markers. The object of the game was to finish the story that the selected judge had read to us. We had to complete the story using either a text message, tweet, comic strip, or a headline. Based upon whatever number the judge rolled on the dice. This game gives off a fun party like atmosphere, and is a great game to play with friends. It did not allow me…

Even so, this all is difficult to argue because childhood is a social construct, meanng that it has no set definition and thus chages over time. Phillipe Aries (1962) argues that 'childhood' as we understand it today is a new invention. For example, in the Pre-industrial times, children were seen as little adults, and they took part in the same work and play activities as the adults. They were seen as a unit of production and thus they had less lesiure time. Even so, that stage of their life was consdered as being childhood, showing us that the definition has morphed over time. Nowadays the interpretation of this would be very different.…

    Constructions of Childhood

The notion of childhood continues to undergo tremendous changes over time, place and culture. Some of the most influential factors responsible for this change among other things include economic, socio-cultural and political dynamics (Holland, 1996; James & Prout, 1997; Sorin & Galloway, 2005). The purpose of the following analysis is to examine nine images of children being depicted in today’s media and identify the different constructions of childhood that they promote. The three social constructions of childhood that have been identified in these images include: the child as vulnerable (Simpson, 2005), the child as innocent (Woodrow, 1999) and the child as a ‘gendered being’ (Burman, 1995). Conceptual tools will be used to deconstruct the selected images such as positioning, colour, lighting and facial expressions and will clarify how these tools are used in constructing the notion of childhood. It is safe to say that the images deconstructed and analysed throughout this paper suggest that there is strong relationship between the social constructions of childhood and how this conception of childhood has often denied them of their agency and profoundly shaped and limited their ability to participate as active citizens in today’s society (Morrow, 2003).…

In lesson 3, the presenter discussed Neil Postman's article, "The Disappearance of Childhood". I agree that electronic media, such as television fails to show children in their place. Children are exhibiting various behaviors that do not represent God and what he wants for his people. The presentation states, according to Postman, "When literature disappears, education disappears. When education disappears, shame disappears." Children are no longer shameful of their actions, not because of be uneducated, it is because society accepts the behaviors and allows it to continue. Understanding the minds of the young will help one to be able to minister according to God's word. Raising children as if they are your own in the right direction will help our youth to be what they once were.…
